Mental note: in the event the DWUW video gets leaked someday, somehow cause a server issue for the forum so we just avoid the conversation altogether

About the whole Liza thing... old people can be stubborn and refuse to accept certain things. I don't think it was as simple as Gaga forcing her to be in a wheelchair (as if Gaga would have that kind of attitude or would be in the position to even demand that at the Academy of all places), it's likely that during rehearsals people realized it would be safer for Liza to not be in the directors chair and Gaga made it clear she wouldn't go on if it meant Liza could potentially fall at the stage and have a serious injury. Can you imagine a Hollywood legend seriously harming herself live at the Oscars? It would be a PR nightmare for them and Gaga could've been targeted as well just for being involved, not to mention how traumatic it would've been for her, Liza and everyone watching.

She is the type to do everything to ensure an elder legend will be comfortable and safe around her, it's just her personality (especially because of what she went through with Tony). I understand if Liza thought it came off as Gaga infantilizing her and trying to "play the hero", it was an awkward moment, but I'm sure it wasn't Gaga's intention.

And honestly, I interpreted Liza's statement as still primarily blaming the producers by putting Gaga in a position to infantilize her, as she did seem to appreciate her checking up on Liza in her dressing room before they went on. We don't know what was communicated to Gaga beforehand, but what exactly was she supposed to do in this situation? Would OGH have Gaga fight the producers right before going on over something she may not have been in the loop about? hoetenks

When Gaga said "I got you" to Liza I interpreted it as more because Liza seemed very confused when she was on stage so Gaga jumped in to help her with her words rather than anything to do with the wheelchair. I guess it's possible that Liza was thrown off by being in the chair and that made her less able to articulate herself properly, but I really don't see how Gaga could have done anything else in that situation.

Yes, by all means let's pick a grudge and bully a senile woman that is quite possibly on her way out

I was reorganizing my CD collection and forgot I owned a copy of Love for Sale. Thankfully I was smart enough to avoid that multi-cover scam and only got one copy, too.

I do agrih, Liza does have a right to feel patronized and embarrassed by the producers and dragging her doesn't help the situation in any way. As always, the true enemy are the OGH who are making it more about painting Gar as an evil adrenochrome consumer than sympathizing with Liza

A lot of Liza fans believe Michael Feinstein is the one who had a heavy hand in her memoir and likely fabricated a lot of the things she's said to generate drama. He's believed to also have control of her Instagram because that is obviously not Liza behind that account.

His name is literally on the cover of the book, and he's a proven OGH
