This album expresses perfectly what life feels like to live in this day and age. It takes the reflective parts of brat and takes it even further. Self-loathing, the numbness, the impossibility of feeling something, the overthinking, not feeling enough, and so on. Great album and a step in the right direction (at least for those of us who care about the music).

Really liked this album. I think the expectations on Charli are waaaay to high for some reason. People expected this album to be the outstanding creation of a genius, and of course it's not. She has nothing to prove, she's making the music she wants to and that's amazing in itself! Male artists are not so scrutinized. She takes herself way too seriously, or she's vapid, or she's tryhard, or she's a mastermind. It's tiring. Love the texture, the mood, the ideas. It's fun, it's fresh, and it's different, something not many recent albums have acheived lol.

And why should I be sent to reflect by any of you all? Are you so morally incorrupt as to teach us about what happens in our OWN country? And I'm a cultural anthropologist btw. I literally reflect about the ethnic and racial history and practices of my country for a living lmao. I know the ways racism presents itself in this nation, I have friends that are from all over Latin America (Ecuador, Perú, Venezuela, Colombia) because they came to this country to receive an education for free and my own ancestors are indigenous. We are not deflecting, we are giving reasons as to why we won't accept to be dehuminized and generalized as white supremacists when the history and everyday life in Argentina is not at all what you (people who have never read a book about us not step a foot here) make it out to be. And as I've said multiple times: racism is sadly present in this country, as in every other state-nation. We have tools and institutions to fight it. We don't need you to scold us and send us to reflect. As a famous argentinian contemporary philosopher would say: "No vengas a dar lecciones de moral acá, por favor. Haciéndote la apóstol de qué? You should receive a warning point for calling a whole nation disgusting. That stupid "cultural center" you shared existed for less than a month and was closed. There's almost no history of far-right activism in the country, it's fairly recent and that's why the inspiration behind that hell hole is Kyle Rittenhouse (an american man) and not an argentinian figure. Political activism is almost universally leftist in this country, read about Madres y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, Archivo Trans, Identidad Marrón, and so on. You should inform yourself from other sources aside tik tok, tweets and reels. The history of a nation is way more complex than the reductive things you're spewing. But what can you expect from a representative of the most historically imperialist, violent and structurally racist nation in human existence.

Let me tell you something about the most racist country in the world: in Argentina we have free education (our universities are full of brazilian, colombian, ecuadorian, venezuelan, peruvian students), a free healthcare system and legal and constitutional recognition for migrants and foreigners from any place in the whole world. So, no matter your nationality, ethnicity or your skin colour you can study, receive healthcare and be recognized legally in this country for free. People of german descent make up 8% of Argentina's population (roughly 3 million people). People of german descent make up 15% of the US' population (over 40 million people). German descents make up the fifth-largest ethnic group in Argentina. And most of the original immigrants were german jews (the jewish population in Argentina is the largest in all Latin America), so the nazi implications are as exaggerated as they can get.

The thing is, can you make a ranking of "the most racist countries in the world"? Why is it so imperative for the whole world to discover the racial dynamics of Argentina? Is Argentina participating of an active war? Do we have active colonies around the globe? Is there a genocidal racial cleanse in action? Are racism informed homicides a heavy social problem in the country? The city I live in is populated by POC migrants from Senegal, Bolivia, Perú, Venezuela, Colombia, China, Korea, and many other nations. They chose Argentina because migration politics aren't as strict as in other countries, and because racism based violence isn't a high as in other places. Why is there an obsession with the way racism plays in this country? Why is it worse than in Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico or Europe? And don't bring viral tweets, bring actual political decisions, active organisations and real social events.

Which country has literal historical racist genocidal organisations, police brutality and gun violence against people of african descent, a history of violence against peoples of the countrie's borders. I'm argentinian, an anthropologist and mapuche descendant so I think I'm qualified to answer. The mere idea of modern nation-state is colonial. Every american (remember America is a continent, not a nation as the US claims) country has colonized indigenous land. The building of modern nations couldn't be done without the blood of the original american peoples. But, as with every other historical and political issues, this colonization wasn't exactly the same in every country. As the previous european colonization of the Americas also wasn't. Every historical colonization has its own logic and history, hence the different outcomes. The thing is, US people have a weird way of conceiving ethnic and racial ancestry and identification. They impose an evolutionist view that identifies skin colour with ethnicity, which has been abandoned by social and biological anthropology for almost a hundred years. We don't necessarily identify as "Latin" because that term is mostly a northamerican term that clusters thousands of different cultures and ethinicities. That's why to some northamericans Shakira, Anya Taylor-Joy and Yalitza Aparicio have something in common when they belong to completely different ethnic background. The history of Argentina is as complex as every other country's. To say that a whole nation is racist or colonizing is not only stupid but also erases the resistance of the indigenous population that inhabits this land. We are a mix of american indigenous, european and african blood as every other american nation, but with our own historical specificity. But that's a discussion for another time.
