The hate Mariah got last year was unreal with posts reaching nearly 1 million likes fromj people acting like she was an IDF soldier who shot and killed innocent families all because of this photo and her "We love Israel" comment from many years ago. It was so unhinged watching people call her a Zionist and then her X profile being from Israel made them crazier.

For the record, obviously her silence should be criticized but at this point I just accept that all mainstream pop stars especially of her generation are all remaining silent to avoid backlash on either side. This Anti- Zionist movement is only concentrated within the North American demographic, and concentrated in the US. The farther you are from the US, the less of an issue or concern it becomes.

Also, the global audience is kind of getting tired of anything US-related for obvious reasons. Therefore, any issues that gained traction in the US, regardless of which side of the political spectrum, will be met with caution and disassociation.

Here in Canada, it's usually the younger generation who are voicing their support for Palestine and being anti-Israel, but it's not the majority either. The situation in Iran is a lot more vocal here due to the significant Persian diaspora here.

Gaga's team is probably aware of these allegations, speculations and borderline cyber libels, and the best course of action is to wait it out. If she made a statement, the issue would become bigger because it came directly from her.
