  1. It's already shifting, but we're definitely not returning to Obama/Biden/Clinton politics. Moderate dems are out.
  2. the killing was random though just bad place bad time
  3. The economy in 2016 was doing great, so much that Trump benefitted from it AND I know for a fact many thought he'd mirror that in his 2nd term as a reason for that vote. Democrats haven't held the presidency for longer than 2 term since like FDR and aside from Reagan to Bush it isn't really the norm for U.S politics. So Hilary not winning was very much a possibility. I think they needed someone fresh but the groundwork for democrats unraveled far before in 2010. Trump made racism normalized again before it was covert so the rules are very different now than 10 years ago. America is also far more diverse so it's easier to pit us against them with no backlash. Today economy is the main focus but no one wants to fix it - but the main point of my post wasn't essentially about social dynamics, it was more so about Obama Becoming more progressive as he became president and changed with the times which I think there is hope for with ossoff. Biden clearly he wasn't going to shake the table and we got exactly that. But ossoff still has potential and I don't necessarily think he should reveal everything all at once or right now. I think what's happening in Michigan and NYC is getting people ready for what can happen on a national scale but they need to see it play out first.
  4. there is no redemption for trump. the amount of ill will he's done is unforgivable. The only suitable justice is court and punishment.
  5. the fact that they thought they could do it, doubled down, only to fall flat. It's what they deserve lmfao
  6. Gaga and Dua are in two different places. Dua's era was similar to The Fame, I don't see Gaga working to that level ever again. Also Dua had prepped and shot everything right before closures (her album came out a week before or into lockdown). Gaga was releasing deep into the pandemic. Mayhem is the closest we got and even then it was short.
  7. I mean I just find this **** highly disrespectful and childish. Some of you can't separate stan wars from reality. regardless of what you think about the music, it's a fact that she paused the era for a few months because of the George Floyd protests. The first time Chromatica was brought up again was a fundraiser for the Marsha P Johnson institute and the second time was to postpone the Chromatica ball. 911 was just a one off gift to the fans for Grammy campaigning. But essentially Gaga had already moved on to House of Gucci, Love for Sale and the eventual Chromatica Ball.
  8. The album was released the week George Floyd died. Stop being disrespectful. There's an obvious reason it was halted. Covid basically killed the rest of it.
  9. Angie isn't winning so it's like yes diva but FL is not going to elect a democrat.
  10. I mean yes but no. Racism was the key factor that led to Trump, let's have that conversation. Democrats lost a lot of ground in the 2010s due to gerrymandering, the Supreme Court, and lack of midterm knowledge amongst democrats. He would have easily won a 3rd term and would win against any republican today. You all forget that Obama's presidency ushered in a wave of social transformation from women, lgbt, disabled - and so on. If you compare to 2007 none of these groups were being looked upon nor discussed. There will always be failures of any president but it's silly to just look at their campaign or before their campaign as the end all be all when a presidents policy actually progresses with the time they're in NOT the time they want it to be.
  11. Rumored follow up to a single on WGIA. Slayyyter is releasing a companion album but this (single specifically) hasn't been fully announced just teased by her.
  12. 67 and 69 seem on trend with today's standards
  13. She'll get the dance categories but anyone thinking AOTY is a stretch. It's not the type of album from a veteran that would win, they love when they sing snoozefests. Nomination guaranteed though.
  14. The irony is he would fit right in with the UK with some of his takes
  15. When AOC loses, not saying vote blue no matter what, but democrats keep looking for the perfect candidate and always fall short. Obama wasn't even perfect either and changed a few stances after becoming president. The president will have to make a lot of tough decisions that will rub some group of people the wrong way, even in good gesture. Every president has fallen short on something - even fdr let racism fly. I think Ossoff has far more potential than anyone suggested thus far. If you can't point to someone who can run AND win, then I'm open to having that conversation.
  16. girl hang it up flat screen already
  17. deport her to an anti gay country, lets see how he feels about being a gay republican
  18. I also think music is also running out of genres to explore. 2020 hasnt offered anything new. But maybe this is a good thing. We're always begging for indie artists to get award exposure and without big artists in the way, award ceremonies could change. but remember radio will never let Spotify fully take over. They need a few big hits for the masses to keep interest.
  19. Damn I feel for her - being famous isn't as glamorous as people make it out to be and on top of that having a horrible team. She did what she had to and now she can live in peace.
  20. Because you're in multiple threads running your mouth trying for a cute drag and I'm calling it out as I see it. If that's off topic, then that's silly as someone reported me but it's very much on topic to the thread. Playing field isn't equal at all. Once again Gaga isn't a billionaire, but you want to guess which two carters are. You cant critique captialism then run around throwing your money at billionaires.
  21. in general, I'm just tired of the performative behavior. I feel like people have lost the plot of what they're actually upset about while contributing to the same system. Make it make sense.
  22. the same wheel hive stans used for Beyonce sitting with Trumps and MULTIPLE billionaire events. Why don't you shut the **** up for once.
