wouldn't surprise me - CC is much more personal and emotional.

I've held the perspective that CC is Lemonade fully realised conceptually.

Cowboy Carter tells a story in a way that Lemonade tried to do sonically and lyrically but didn't climax properly and I think thats because if how short Lemonade is. CC felt like it told a full story and gave us brawta. Both great albums but CC feels like Lem 2.0 but more refined in the storytelling aspect.

I still think Lemonade, culminating with All Night was too abrupt in the story arc.

i mean i find Renaissance to be the superior album, but Cowboy Cosplay intentionally has more emotional depth to it. hard to cry to songs that are mostly about being #thatbitch or getting drilled until you squirt

i've shed a few tears to BMS before though, truly an anthem for the hard times

Recently a YouTube reactor listened to Renaissance for the first time and said it's a dark album and they got jumped but I agree with them . CC feels fresher, cleaner, and more enjoyable for a casual listen sans a few tracks.
