I just saw your thread in celebria and shaded you in the comments (I should've know your ass would thread this otherwise I would've checked their first ). I would love to see a Bey/Rih video. I think Rihanna can finally relate to Beyonce a bit better now that she's a mother.

I'm sure my fans will find a reason to rage about my last sentence. My point is that they clearly became distant around the 2010s. I think Rihanna's head got big and she stopped being a fan and Beyonce was like "girl f you too then. I raised you hoe." And they remained cordial to please Jay. But now they can actually hang out and relate beyond the small talk they likely would have before Rihanna started birthing babies for work.

I wanted to hear what she and Miguel minds could explore over sounds he'd done for "Kaleidoscope Dreams". I think now would be a perfect time to revisit that sound now that she's so open to experimenting with different sounds and genres.

I for one honestly hope she doesn't go the predictable route and focus solely on the sounds of Prince and Tina Turner. At this stage in her career, I feel as though she's already shown what she can do under their inspiration.

I can see this happening. Both Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder. I don't think she only recorded Make Me Say It Again, Girl with Ronald, and I don't think she took Stevie to the studio just to play the harmonica on Jolene.

I once posted about the samples on Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, and most of them come from the late 80s-90s and the 50s-60s, respectively. So my theory is that this album will take mostly on the 70s-early 80s to bridge everything together. That includes Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder as part of Motown (which stands for Motor Town… motorbikes etc.)

I love this description. So accurate. The general public really has the idea that belting, yelling, and runs make for good singing.

that's the genius of Beyoncé. She's the Einstein of the arts. I thought her vocal control was amazing, and the nuances of her intonation and placement were so good.

Singing is a very different thing today. People hear you do runs and say you can sing. But, by definition, singers can just stand flatfooted and sing without any acrobatics. Think of CeCe Winans, Whitney Houston, Marvin Winans. That's what Beyoncé is. She's a bridge between those two types of singers.

I wonder why they did the 20th anniversary retrospective now? Deja Vu came out in June, I think, and obviously we know when the album came out.

(This is not me theorizing that it has anything to do with act iii. Just odd timing)

Me too. Her aura is what drew me to her 20 years ago and it just keeps getting better.

I don't know whats up with all that Rihanna beef. Public has been putting them against each other for two decades, but everytime we see them interact it just seems like they love and appreciate each other

And who else would Beyonce and Rihanna be hanging out with at an event event like that if not with each other (and their families). No one comes close to them
