I think this is mostly to keep control of information around the album. If they clear everything months in advance, there's more time for leaks. That's why she is so generous with publishing.

But you're right, especially post release, she continued to make tweaks, especially AHAP which had three or four tweaks over several months.

But with CC - I think she revisited the album as a whole after vinyl had been pressed and wanted to make significant changes.

That doesn't change anything, it's still under control by the editors. Tyler did a subdued cover with flowers and sheets… act iii asks for something more striking Her own cover for Vogue UK wouldn't have been approved for Vogue US.

Wasn't there another insider who stated the album wasn't coming out till the end of June beginning of July? With album preorders at the end of May. I'm starting to believe this. Ain't no way it's coming May 29th. That's probably why Yvette stated it wasn't coming soon. I believe this person also said a visual component is tied to the album release.
