I just noticed how beautiful her MET Gala look blends in with the set/location design. Is that deliberate or a coincidence?

My mom passed away last week. I know I mentioned her wanting to hear a Beyonce rock album as she has anticipated it for years, and I'm so sad she didn't get to hear it before she passed (if that's wha

to DATE this is the ONLY time she has done this that i'm aware of.

Right before Renaissance she used the BEYGOOD ACCOUNT of all things to celebrate black music month, and there was a collage of album covers including a bloody hand pointing to Brandy's B7 to tease Bey's 7th album.

My GOD that was so much fun. Who would've known the album we were about to get was Renaissance!!! A masterpiece for the ages

She also felt a "renaissance" emerging in Harper's Bazaar a year before that. Wearing cowboy hats for that cover too.

She did this ad in 2020, which features 80s aesthetics, rainbows, avant garde electronic music and robot arms building renaissance-type statues:

But she never does easter eggs. lol.

ATRL hive: she doesn't do easter eggs

Beyoncé: wears Betty Black newspaper outfit

I was shocked and disappointed for a good old minute thinking it was Vogue US reveal

Not to stress us out... but what if we were all focused on Jay for the wrong people/reasons when he made the comment about making age reflective music? What if it is B who's gonna make aunty music now?

That's missing his point. He wasn't saying you can't make fun music. Spaghetti, Sweet Honey Buckin, Tyrant, etc., are by no means "Aunty music" but they're still mature.

He was talking about people being inauthentic to where they are in their lives and never showing any growth. Beyond that, I don't think he'd speak for Bey.

ya that's the hilarity in how people tried to fling his comments back to Beyoncé.

sure, she has some silly songs but no one puts gravity in a silly song like Beyoncé.

When i first saw her come to the red carpet i got so hyped, then I kinda was like meh with the dress... but now that it all sank in, omg I absolutely love the whole look. The dress, the cape, the crown, her make up, her hair, the way she was GLOWING. jonny2 She literally looks like diety... I will never stop loving this woman!

ya I kinda felt the same way.

some of the critics are correct in that in concept (a nude illusion dress) it is not entire a fresh look for her, and the long train is very "Met Gala Coded" however the effect of it all, and especially with the gothic, dark undertone of the skeletal mermaid...makes it a really striking and compelling look. I'm obsessed with the drama it conveys... she's like this sinister warrior queen but also so glamorous and elegant. I've mentioned it many times before but it has such an Opera Diva vibe to me too, like this sort of robust, powerful, stunning, bedazzled queen... It's so grand.

I sort of feel like the Met Gala look is this woman, all grown up.

Like, she fought her way out of the coliseum, went back to the sea and conquered her father's kingdom from the ones who usurped it, and is now reigning over a land of prosperity and love.

I was wondering the same, I'm sure as a co-chair she was able to get the tea ... because the photos turned out STUNNING from every angle, especially with the hanging plant things....complimenting the plumage and both's luscious natural vibe and in the contrast to her precious metals of her ensemble.
