Baby they can't afford it. Netflix and Amazon are the only two willing to spend big bucks on films and if they aren't willing to spend then she might as well launch Parkwood+

I'll be honest, this constant reference to 'The Heat' is the main actual concrete thing we have to go off which feels like it could legit be teasing the new lead single (and B wouldnt be the first main pop girl to announce a project through her side hustles -- see REM Beauty's Petal)

We also know that this trilogy is lyrically linked (with plentiful references to 'the rodeo [chitlin circuit] across renaissance, 'cleanse me of my sins' in I'm that girl linking to American Requiiem, 'you're my renaissance' in Levii's jeans, etc.).

'The Heat' or 'Take the Heat' would link very nicely to previous songs from the trilogy; 'Heated', 'there's a heatwave' from Texas Hold Em, 'Arizona heat' in II Hands II Heaven...

I don't like 'The Heat' as a single title. But "there's a heatwave coming at us" definitely also hints at Act III being heat.

I actually think 'The Heat' feels like a very very very nice homage to 'The Best'

it pisses me off how stubborn she is. like surely uploading the videos on YouTube and collecting the YouTube ad revenue check for them would be more profitable than throwing the whole thing away???

Exclusive: Beyoncé Shopping New Renaissance Visual Album...

Beyoncé is coming to Los Angeles this weekend to play three sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium as part of her Renaissance World Tour, and there will...

Cinema listings for the Renaissance tour film were also listing it as a film directed by Nadia Lee Cohen (Odeon i believe), suggesting it was a coin toss as to whether the film sent to cinemas would be a coin toss as to whether the visuals would be shipped to the big screen, or the tour film

You're absolutely right. I remember being so thankful, because it was so specific and came via a legit source. It gave some much-needed context to the clusterf*ck of confusion of what was going on.

The Hive confuses me sometimes, though, because they will melt down over crumbs and unsubstantiated speculation, but I remember the whole "streamers not biting tea" felt like it came and went without much fanfare. Definitely didn't feel like it stuck. IIRC, there even was some shooting down on some a**-kiss Hive vibe of: "don't believe it, which streamer would NOT buy Bey visuals" without factoring the reality that execs DGAF. It's a simple question of: does this work for a mass audience and is it worth the price being asked for? Can't speak to the former, but it's very easy to see where an impasse can arise if Bey wanted big bucks for something that potentially watches as niche-high-art (like a lot of Nadia's work).

Since then, it's been the rinse and repeat discourse of: I don't believe there are any visuals vs they are scrapped vs they are still coming.

Also industry execs responsible for purchasing the visuals for their streaming platforms do know what numbers Black is King pulled. And let's all be honest. It wasn't exactly a streaming smash.

@Teneo that sounds very much like Bey. I need @Kingdom and @swissman to comment tho since they always find a way to spin a Bey-related story into a story of success and sensibility

What YouTube ad revenue darling there's a reason everyone stopped making music videos. And I imagine she sees uploading it on YouTube just like buying Cecred at a cheap discount store would feel: devaluating for the brand

When is ACT III getting released? Beyoncé's presence in the industry is missed and the break was perfect but it's time to come back honey.

@Teneo thank you for being brave - as u can see we are deliberately not quoting u out of respect for ur tea so pls feel free to tell us more and more <3

Ok well this pretty much suggests there was a version of the renaissance visuals completed by around late 2023 which team bey were happy enough to release, it was just the mode of the release which couldn't be figured out.

This also pretty much confirms the RWT Film was probably a trial run to see whether a cinematic release could be profitable enough to risk releasing the visuals in that format.

I wonder if Parkwood holding back on releasing the tour film on a streamer is linked to their failed negotiations around the visuals... perhaps Bey was annoyed they wouldn't take the project on and so didnt want to allow them to distribute the film. But Bey also has the capacity to sell the film through YouTube or as a physical on her website...

Much to think about

Since we are/were speaking about the visuals, I don't think they are scrapped or not being released.

Why would she spend all that time and money to do visuals not to put them out as music videos and just use them as tour footage?

I also think Act 3 is also getting visuals.

That's that thique.

That's that real THIQUE.

That's that jelly baby!

That's that really baby!

The bit about the platforms not biting for the visuals is true but it's a more complex situation than "we don't care about your visual album, ma'am".

Whos gonna tell her that another aspect devaluating one's product is lack of interest/revenue? If people dont consume ur product, its devalued.

I get that Bey wants the money for her very expensive projects, I really do, but like...she's a billionaire? She has so much money. She can afford to go 10 million out of pocket for each of her act's accompanying films, pay all contributors handsomely, release them for free on youtube, and not even notice a dent in her wallet.

That's mainly why I do think the visuals will eventually release. She will want them to release because of the amount of time she's put into them - she ultimately believes in her own greatness and her own vision more than anyone else does. Even if it means self-funding their distribution.

That being said, I can understand that a shorter term goal is to try to let the music 'speak for itself', so that the trilogy albums' success and acclaim bolster visual distribution negotiations. The amount of love for renaissance that still exists, alongside the huge critical acclaim received by cowboy carter, wont hurt her in the boardroom as she attempts to get a good deal for her visual project. fingers crossed Act III receives massive promotion and push in the same way that Verizon boosted Texas...

I lowkey think Bey teaming up with A24 to do a trilogy release of all three films, maybe across the course of one year, would be a gag.

A similar rollout is happening with Sam Mendes' The Beatles (four individual films released across the span of one month) so it's not too unrealistic...

We would not even have been in this predicament now if the press release didn't say "visuals are coming out at a later date", if she didn't release the ITG teaser video with all the looks, and also if she didn't tease even MORE looks during the last interlude of the Cowboy Carter Tour.

So if anyone is to blame, it's Beyonce.

There's 20 of us in this base right now trying to figure out the answer to that question, Doctor :(

Also, she HAS Cowboy Carter visuals no matter how delusional ATRLers are.

She has BEEN having them.

Let's see if she answers via one of her ATRL accounts.

Hey Yvette babes, could you confirm if this in categorically true or false? @Kingdom @Teezy
