I don't know how else to say this but you might be viewing this "hype" from the lense of a bubble. The hype is only concentrated among core Beyhive. No one else knows if or when new music or act iii is coming.

So many artists have it when they're young (or else the people they work with do) and find it extremely hard to keep. Listening to the new Gaga Devil Wears Prada music and I'm just like…where did the melodies/hooks on TF/TFM go? Beyoncé's newer music had a similar problem, though I think it's objectively well constructed/interesting. I'm not dragging them/saying their new music is bad, either. Just somewhat tuneless/hookless.

I think them repeating "no album" is intentional… its what they are OMITTING is what I'm paying attention to more.

But also.. unpopular opinion in here but the constant ebb and flow of the nothings coming and teasing is rather annoying. Surprise drop is no longer a big deal and you lose people within that anticipation. Let fans be fans and be freaking excited for once, the guessing and putting pieces together makes it fun as well. All they have to do is make sure the music is good rather than trying to control the narrative.. UGH

@Cbreezy you make very valid points about the Yvette pile-on, but I do wanna just note that for me personally it's more about the tone and the way she debunks things that feels jarring as a fan of Bey's art.

Everytime Bey has posted its been to advertise a brand, a product, a tour, a music launch, etc. And I don't mind that, but I'm a fan of the art and the experience and the anticipation of those things. It's exciting to anticipate and speculate. And to be very fair to the hive, Bey has been gearing up her social presence after a Q1 of radio silence, posting hints like the three lemons, and is about to make a very public return to a very signficant Gala which coincides perfectly with the release date pattern that the rest of this trilogy has already established (album/tour/album/tour/album/tour, the pattern of the 29th release date, the BeyGood posting, and more).

For Yvette to poo-poo general hype and fervour the way she does just makes the relationship between artist and consumer very hollow and unappreciative. It wouldnt really hurt to be like "Love the excitement, but this rumour isn't correct..."

It's the CATEGORICALLY UNTRUE of it all which is just like damn.... can't we just enjoy things? It's like we get a telling off for putting together very obvious puzzle pieces.

All this being said, if nothing does come in May then the blind item about Bey having to re-work a lot of Act III and remove The Dream from the project will feel more pertinent.

I think she's mad we caught on to the release date early this time and backtracking trying to make us second guess. We see you Bey

Its just that Team Bey has a kink for surprises and they cant wrap their head around that time is very different now from 2013. They refuse to go with the times. Thats why they sweat that fans are onto them and their schedule before they become public.
