It might have changed in recent years but it's always been a very male dominated space which comes with its own set of problems. They also love a good nitpick on vocal style as well and if it fits the genre.

I agree that the rock community is very different. In addition to that "rock is dead" mentality, there's also an interesting political element

Country is much more closely tied to a specific sense of community, place, and politics. It's at the centre of the Southern identity and racism. In that space, the music is used to define who belongs and who doesn't.

Rock, on the other hand, is a counter-culture movement. It's fundamentally about challenging the status quo. As long as B goes bold enough with her sound, I think they will be welcoming. Rock isn't closely tied to a specific political movement the way country is

She'll be far more welcomed than she was in country spaces, but many rock artists and fans alike will still chafe at her presence. She's a billionaire pop star, and so much of rock's identity is about going against the grain and authority.

It's all ultimately a good thing. She'll once again ignite a conversation, and the people who hate her will jump on it to drag her while normal people will just enjoy the music if it's good.

I mean who does rock even include anymore? It's almost all alt artists who are super liberal, or older rock artists that aren't super involved with anything anymore. I mean she's already made space with some really influential people in that genera with Jack White, Chris Martin (I mean I guess we can put him in the mix since Rock has massively migrated), Tom Morello (who hosts many radio shows on rock stations), Paul Mccartney who she has already covered, Hayley Williams who loves her, Brittany Howard who loves her, Stevie Nicks who she has already worked with, Lenny Kravitz.

I think she'll be welcomed by the celebrities. There maybe an issue with those old school metal rockers, but they hate everything lol
