I really hope we get it soon. My mom loves Beyonce, and her favorite genre is rock, she is SO excited. She just got diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I really hope she gets to hear the album while

  • @ScorpiosGroove @Fleahive @Teezy always ranting slams Bey a lil too hard french awful takes hates Bey lowkey forgot to take meds downvote central doesn't contribute to discussion could be yv

Whenever this video comes up, I get kinda sad. All the never-ending grind, thrive for perfection and devotion really took a toll on her body.

Lemonade had some peak performances, but my personal favorite era for performances were 4:

high energy dancing performance with unique visuals:

Ballads showcasing vocals:

upbeat simple sets

amazing covers:

she was NOT letting the girls breathe

rogue2

Bey worked the **** out of the 4 era. She was performing her ass off while pregnant. Glastonbury 2011 will always be remembered! Also good to see the base picking up steam.

after the trilogy i need her to headline a festival like drake did at wireless. doing 3 nights and switchin up setlists.

You know people are jealous of you when you don't even ******* talk or do interviews and people be spazzing out. Based on Beyonce lyrics on her songs she knows hoes are envious. That is so embarrassing. like if Bey was out here ranting and having coke rants on social media I would understand people being annoyed with her but beyonce be quiet AF even too quiet for us as Bey fans lmfaooo.

Unpopular opinion: OG Super Bowl is not even in top 100 Beyonce performances.

Meant to be her big comeback but it was the same old standard setlist condensed into 12mins, same old choreo except she was doing wayyyyy too much this time, popping her body so hard instead of moving naturally (esp in EOT AND SL, which resulted in the unflattering photos), way too much running commentary over the music ('How y'all feelin?', 'Sing!', 'Mamas!', 'Horns!', 'Sing it!', 'Put your hands together!', "Everybody sing!', 'Come on!', 'WHERE MY RING AT!!' every 5 damn seconds), underwhelming production.

The performance stopped and started way too many times; a halftime setlist should flow and transition naturally through to the end, but she said 'Thank you!' so many times after the songs just stopped that I thought the performance was over at least twice before it actually was.

Makeup and outfit were also horrible.

I genuinely think she looks back at this performance with some regret and has learned from it because she never really revisited it and didn't repeat these mistakes.

I also think she was giving A LOT (too much) to prove she could still perform after having Blue (which we saw she also did for Coachella post-twins), and she clearly could but a lot just didn't land right.

She comes off better when she's aiming high but slightly more relaxed.

2016 and Beyonce Bowl >>>>>>>>>>>>

End of Time's inclusion will NEVER make sense to me. Like seriously what was the move there??

I would pay money to change history and have her done the Super Bowl in 2014 right off the release of ST instead.

this was the kickoff to the very first post-birth era so you have to remember what the press around her was like during this time. people were claiming she didn't give birth to her baby, that her last album was a flop, that she was too reserved and robotic, that she lipsynced during the inaguration. the super bowl was the first time she had returned to the spotlight in the midst of all the rumors and nastiness. she had a LOT to prove for this performance about her artistry and performance style so the mic feed is RAW and the vocal is LIVE compared to her more curated performances where some things are prerecorded and blended into the live vocal. the choreography is more intense for the same reason. people had counted her out and were starting to call her a legacy artist. she went out there and performed deep cuts from 4 as a f*ck you to anyone who thought she was washed up and over.

you compare it to homecoming which was her second post-birth era, and the press around her then was a lot more positive. she also had completely stopped talking to the press at all. she went out there and had a good time and had nothing to prove, and that nonchalance is what people love about it. but we wouldn't have had it without the early ST era and everything that entailed.

so while it might not be a good career retrospective like everyone's halftime shows are now; it was a major stepping stone into us getting the legend beyoncé that we know of today. context is everything. and it goes without saying, it obviously clears beyoncé bowl.

the only thing im sure she regrets is missing her mark during crazy in love and messing up that aerial visual as a result. that's about it.

Even without act iii a new Super Bowl could easily be:

  1. Formation

  2. ***FLAWLESS

  3. [BLACK PARADE instrumental transition into] Savage (Remix)

  4. CUFF IT + remix verse

  5. BREAK MY SOUL [Queens remix]

  6. 7/11

  7. All Night

  8. Drunk in Love [Finale]

TEXAS HOLD'EM should technically be there but would be hard to fit in.

mine would be

FREEDOM (INTRO) - instrumental drum entrance with a speech like at bet. she does the first verse acapella like in lemonade. chorus with beat kicks in. shortened CCT version.
FORMATION - with hat intro, she does the shortened version similar to vmas. after "always stay gracious best revenge is your paper" the intro to...
DRUNK IN LOVE - shortened like at RWT with dubai outro. shes lifted into the air. after dubai outro ends we go into
16 CARRIAGES - she sings this in the air on the platform and it lowers throughout. short bbowl version.
TEXAS HOLD 'EM (PONY UP) - shortened version but using the stick around outro from CCT which goes into
CRAZY IN LOVE - she has to include a little bit of her signature hit. so a shortened version similar to cct will do. last 3 notes hit. BOM BOM BOM! lights out.
IM THAT GIRL (INTERLUDE) - new vocal from kevin prodigy (who is there on stage) he says WELCOME! TO THE! RENAISSANCE! and then begins the opening hits of
ALIEN SUPERSTAR - first verse and chorus, then solar system outro into
BREAK MY SOUL (QUEENS MIX) - she brings out madonna and they do vogue together too.

Generous queen 👑

But ya not saying she didn't grind hard, but this is actually normal wear and tear for any performer. For example, Dancer's careers usually slowdown/end by their 30's.

Mid February guys => 2 more months till we likely have news/new music jonny5

Looking back at the Beyhdration of 2013, it's kinda hilarious that the Hive was spiralling so much when in that year we still got:

  • A national-anthem performance at the inauguration of President Obama

  • A Super Bowl performance

  • A documentary

  • A live concert DVD

  • An Oprah interview

  • Multiple magazine covers

  • A Pepsi Commercial (featuring new, unreleased music)

  • An H&M Commercial (featuring new, unreleased music)

  • Chime for Change concert (which had a performance of Grown Woman)

  • New music releases:

    • God Made You Beautiful by Beyoncé

    • Bow Down/I Been On by Beyoncé

    • Turnt by the Dream feat. Beyoncé

    • You've Changed by Kelly Rowland feat. Beyoncé

    • Back to Black by Beyoncé and André 3000 (from The Great Gatsby Soundtrack)

    • Part II (On The Run) by Jay-Z feat. Beyoncé

    • Rise Up by Beyoncé

If anyone was around here in that time, you know the meltdowns and essays that were occurring. Granted it was more based on the confusion of what was happening, but anyway, what a time to be in the Hive.

What a time! We were fed.

Some other things I remembered:

  • The lip-synching controversy that disappeared as quickly as it came

  • The rumors she was starring in a musical Ryan Murphy movie (It was titled One Hit Wonders - Gwyneth, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon were Britney/Xtina/Jessica-esque solo pop acts forced together when their music stopped selling, Adam Samberg was a Benny Blanco-esque character writing their music, and I think Beyonce was the new act they were competing with? Found the article)

  • the "12 Roses" / "Rollercoaster" (feat. Miguel) dual-lead single rumor (looking back I def think "Rollercoaster" was "Rocket")

  • reportedly scrapping 50 songs (and Diplo of all people announcing that)

  • Ne-Yo being an overly "Chatty Patty" and having confidence he made the album rip

  • "Drunk In Love", "XO", "Jealous", 'Mine", and "Heaven" video shoot intel leaking (shoot photos, tweets, people spotting B+ her crew)

  • producer RoccStar somehow figuring out early he was rejected from the project and stating to Idolator that his two submissions ("Turn It On" and "Legends") were too advanced" for Beyonce rip - before unloading his demos on JLo's AKA project.

  • Her secretly appearing on "BBC" and 'Tom Ford" from Magna Carta Holy Grail , but turning the volume down on her ad-libs and staying uncredited.

  • "Say Yes" with Michelle and Kelly almost reaching the Billboard Hot 100 and gospel Grammy categories, becoming a large gospel hit.

  • Surprise BOP "Turnt" with The-Dream and 2 Chainz.

Just found out Kelly's film is called Relationship Goals… genuinely thought it may have been a tease. WHY IS SHE ALWAYS PROMOTING MISS FACETUNE.

i also think she has explained her self a lot via music, rena film and some interviews in the magazines / she has communicated who she is now and what matters to her. lots of fan still treat her as a 20 y MPG....i feel lots of fans do not understand her as a person and artist at all.

Talking to Harper's Bazaar, Beyoncé explained why she has chosen to pour herself into her art, full stop, using her music, visual projects, philanthropy and fashion endeavors to tell her story. So if you don't get the message that way...

"One day I decided I wanted to be like Sade and Prince, she said. "I wanted the focus to be on my music, because if my art isn't strong enough or meaningful enough to keep people interested and inspired, then I'm in the wrong business. My music, my films, my art, my message—that should be enough."

I get you and understand.

The problem is that she's sending mixed signals (consciously or unconsciously).

It's all good saying she wants to be like Sade or Prince, art not charts etc, but she absolutely still plays the chart game.

Variants, vinyls, lead singles "worked" at radio and on streaming. These grandiose eras that are designed for maximized commercial gain that directly feed into her ultimate end goal: huge tours, music movies, sync deal endorsements. All of which = $$$$.

Bey has yet to genuinely execute on her "it's just about the music" mantra, so will continue to magnetize stan calls for MPG moves because she's operating this kind of hybrid approach. Kinda like MPG-On-My-Own-Terms.

I always scratch my head at the Hive that don't see it and assume her success (especially with this trilogy) is solely down to her popularity or name value). We only need to look at The Gift (which I love) and EIL to know that's not surefure thing these days.

She's on some MPG-lite flex, so will continue to attract MPG asks from fans.

I think the biggest chance of her appearing at another halftime show is with her husband. They could do 03 Bonnie and Clyde and maybe Drunk In Love

OH I totally forgot about the video shoot leaks and all that... what an exciting time. It's amazing looking back that we didn't connect the dots and realize she was shooting a visual album because there were so many video shoots happening. Like when she shot the No Angel scenes around that Australian little white house. But I guess it was so unprecedented it was impossible to imagine. I remember my friend knew the Yoncé video director and told me Beyoncé shot something called "Liquor" and I was so hyped lol.

ALSO, the NFL press conference national anthem was SUCH a gag, one of the greatest moments of her career imo.

My Bey-Z halftime show setlist (in before people call it a mess)

  1. FAMILY FEUD
Jay-Z and Beyoncé in full silhouette, recalling the Love on Top SB intro, Jay-Z rapping about the Super Bowl "Super Bowl goals / My wife in the crib feedin' the kids liquid gold / We in a whole different mode" while Beyoncé in silhouette sings in full gospel-background vocals HIIIIGHEER)

  2. APESHIT
The lights start stroking, the hype goes wild, Beyoncé in beast mode striking poses and faces in each strobe, the lights turn on fully now, they look at each other than Beyoncé enters straight into her iconic rap verse "Poppin', I'm poppin', my ******* all poppin'..." that transitions into the explosive trumpets of...)

  3. CRAZY IN LOVE
Enough said. Their most iconic hit, thousands of dancers on the field hit the uh-oh dance.

  4. UPGRADE U / BOSS mashup

  5. '03 BONNIE & CLYDE

  6. LIFT OFF (intro instrumental only leading into) DRUNK IN LOVE
Obviously she'll have to do the iconic Dubai run, now both are lifted on different platforms many feet apart, they stand in silence looking at each other as the crowd cheers and digests the run Beyoncé just did (upgraded for the event). Then suddenly two platforms rise, one each that connects to their own, then two more that connect to the new bridge appearing, then one final platform in the middle. They are now connected and walk through the air towards eachother to the opening bars of
