Social medias will probably become bot hell holes in the future + filled with negativity and hate speech.

 

People might seek out new platforms, and because of wanting anonymity and more personal user connection that Instagram, Tiktok, X, Facebook can't offer, forums become a popular again. People are a little nostalgia for a time where the internet was much more simple.

 

Stans from all over the internet finds ATRL and mass joins. Suddenly the user base doubles or triples.

 

Would you be here for it and the changes it would bring ? 

That would be great for the servers

I'd welcome if if the serves could handle it… if we generated that much interest I'd suggest moving the format to an app of some kind.

Like a TV network cancelling my favorite show, I'd be furious. I need to know how this relationship evolves: 

I don't think any of us will be here. That would overwhelm the servers.

Bold to assume ATRL and other forums will still be anonymous if social media isn't.

I think ATRL used to limit traffic and make the website accessible to logged in users only before major releases and events, I doubt they could handle it constantly

They will quickly leave ATRL after finding out how strict this forum is

tbh part of the appeal of this place is how relatively insular it is w/ new membership - I enjoy getting to know the different posters and their opinions (regardless of agreeing with them or not) and this place getting too many members at once wouldn't be as fun

Considering the new people would be younger than most, there is a high chance of them being Gracie stans, which could lead to interesting threads & interactions..Armageddon for some
