Just curious, since many people use it for sexting and roleplaying.

I don't know if it's cheating in exactly the same sense, but I'd have similar deep concerns about my relationship if my partner felt the need to rely on something like that when I'm right here - and given the attachment that some people form toward AI tools, I'd have additional concerns for their mental health if it's heavy, habitual usage.

Serious answer, it's up to the people in the relationship. Because I can see how it would bother someone, but not matter to others.

if it's a romantic companion then it's emotional cheating yes. It's the intention that matters 

 

I will say though, a lot of people nowadays are so antisocial and narrow minded that they turn people away from real life contact that I'm not surprised if someone wants to at least test out AI for any type of companionship (not my thing personally). You see some people like that already in this thread

 

You can't be a judgemental prick and terrorise people away from human interaction and then get shocked or offended when those people avoid you and go to AI for comfort. And I don't blame them because some of you freaks need to be avoided at all costs

Never heard of it, but the concept isn't bad. It could help people who are incapable of social interactions or teach men how to treat a partner correctly. If they prefer the robot, more power to em.

Meeting a romantic partner through apps was a taboo 10 years ago and now like 90% of couples meet that way

 

So idk how common this will be in the next years, considering most people are not even open to dating these days

If I found out my partner resorted to an AI chatbot to fulfill a missing need in the relationship to the extent that it teetered on the edge of cheating, I'd throw myself off the nearest balcony. That's just me though!
