I don't mind her not playing a debut song every single night. I'm sure a lot of the songs are gonna end up as surprise performances. Besides, I love how she cleverly paid tribute to the era's aesthetic with the dress and the instruments. The frock is inspired by cancan dresses and the piano/guitar looked rustic with homespun flower embellishments. She looked straight out of a saloon in a small western town.

Why do people engage with artists they don't like . I couldn't imagine camping in a Bieber thread and keeping up with his every move... I just ignore him We must pray for the victims of Taylor Swift

She'34. She already screams "do you want to come back to High School with me" to sing love story, fearless and YBWM.

She just doesn't want to sing 100 times teardrops on my Guitar.

She has the right to focus more on her recent catalog she feels more connected now.

She Is still making a lot of early and old songs. We can't really complain imo.

before the tour no one was sure about what the tour would be.

Her doing only 3 songs from red, one from speak now, only 3 from 1989 and only two from fearless and than a lot of midnights, lover and folkmore was really a possibility. We had more than what we thought imo.

Also as I said...again... the show  has a narrative about being a window of all her artistry...she also has to build a show.

Enchanted just gives to people this princess and rock arena moment you don't have in other acts.

What she should have played also from that album? All the narrative personal rock country ballads from that album are just encapsulated in the strong ATW 10 minutes version she makes.

Do you want back to december? I really like that song, i have strong nostalgia for that but i can undestand a lot of numbers from the folklore and evermore act just sounds like back to december. Last kiss just sounds the same...

As for debut you will get a copy of the fearless act.

She build a show trying to find the right equilibrium between a choice of all her songwriting range (this is why as I said you have the archer and YNTCM or the man, her pop songs with social themes, and not cornelia street that is just similar to all too well and many similar songs), the hits, building every act in a different way than another and finding the right rhytm in the show between pop uptempo songs, slow songs and so on.

Sparks Fly, Mine, and Long Live would’ve been good additions to SN. Taylor released Sparks Fly due to fan demand. It was originally performed during debut era. She said it would be on Fearless but didn’t include it. It was one of the biggest reveals during her Speak Now livestream. She knows how much the fans love that song. It was the holy grail for the longest time. So it is very unusual for her to exclude it from the set list. Regarding debut, she could’ve included Mary’s Song. The subject matter is different than her other songs. There’s actually quite a few tracks off debut that could’ve fit in well with the set list. The Man and Archer are also weak choices based on the general consensus.

My point still stands. She advertised this tour to encompass all eras. It’s literally on all of the merch/posters but she left out debut which makes no sense. Fans rightfully had expectations for her to include a few songs from each era  because that’s the way she marketed this tour. It is very strange that “debut” Taylor is part of the tour artwork and even in the set design but it’s not part of the official set list. Speak Now is also a highly beloved album by the fans but she chose to only sing half of 1 song. :skull: Anyways, it is just a strange decision and misleading is all I’m saying!

She sang Tim McGraw the first night and she'll sing others once in a while. How can you expect the same amount of songs from Debut and Midnights? If you look at the streaming numbers or any other metric I don't think you can say that people are eager to hear songs from Debut. Regarding Speak Now the TV is coming soon and it'll get the attention, we are just 2 shows in.

She is singing songs from every era but giving each album the weight it deserves. 4 albums didn't have a Tour and the others don't have all the same demand.

the archer is really an acclaimed song.

I know some fans prefer the other side of the door or some of these forgettable b sides songs but she can perform these kind of songs inly one time as surprise song.

Mary's song i don't think she will ever perform that even as surprise...guys she' 34 (33!). Just watch the old videos.

Long live...i would love it and yes in the setlist you're right there is not something similar since she doesn't perform you're on your own kid too (a good substitute).

Probably that's sound as a closer track and since she made this eras choice it sounds "too much" at the half of the concert. But i agree after enchanted it could have worked.

Sparks fly is just another you belong with me and mine another love story. I can understand why they are not there.

Personally glad to not hear any debut songs. What a weird thing to get stuck on.

Yeah, I don't understand the discussion here. It's still an Eras tour even if she cuts one era out.

well i think at least one song like she did on the first time is the right choice.

As i said debut it's really not different from fearless as narrative, sound, looks and everything so she just doesn't want to make a copy act of the fearless one

but a piano cover (so different sound from fearless) of a song from the album doesn't kill anyone... i can't blame people are asking for it.

Honestly i don't get what's the point to make another piano song but from an album she already played in an other act...if it's the "debut" moment make a song from it.

There is already another spot for the surprise songs from the other albums.

she should’ve performed the lakes to get it to 100M :-*

cardigan is really smashing and coming for the billion streams in less than one year :monkey:

she clearly should have made this is me trying cause it's more loved than last great american dynasty, the streams will be bigger.

But LGAD it's a particular song in terms of narrative (this biografical character study. Her only song like this) so she wanted to make a song who shows this kind of songwriting.

15.2M on the 151th day.

The rumours about a flop album were ended today.

You're on your smash kid near to 1m without performances. We were robbed from the perfect show closer song with the consequential bigger boost.

I didn’t say Debut should have the same amount of songs as Midnights. I said it is strange she left it out of the official set list entirely. Tim McGraw being a secret song doesn’t count. The whole point of the eras tour is for everyone in all stadiums to have the same experience concerning hearing songs from each era.

Holy ****. Her discography is just huge. My God.

What does age have to do with performing a catalog? Mary’s Song was written for her 80 year old neighbors, FYI. It’s not about her teenage perspective. And Tied Together With A Smile is about obesity. Isn’t half of America obese? People can relate.
