Why do people engage with artists they don't like . I couldn't imagine camping in a Bieber thread and keeping up with his every move... I just ignore him We must pray for the victims of Taylor Swift

Since Debut is a blue-ish green, we also need a green GREEN album :jonny5: TS11 will be white, TS12 will be green :jonny5:

Teardrops (Taylor’s Version)

Lover is actually pretty good if you make it a 11 track album.

she would require at least 13

The Lover hate comes from the trauma of having to live through that era in real-time. I still remember very clearly some people in here having meltdowns over The Jonas Brothers, Shawn and Camila being supposedly bigger than Taylor, asking how and why she didn't adapt to the streaming era and some even saying that Taylor had lost the songwriting ability she had pre-1989. Every choice she made left a mark on people that skewed their opinion on the album. The idea that Lover was a panned, underperforming album with flop singles was pretty much a consensus on ATRL. That's why you would see the navy claiming every Rihanna album but her debut were bigger than Lover, you had that one Britney fan claiming it would never pass FF and liddos and arianators were dragging its streaming numbers. It doesn't help that she followed it with a much better album that had bigger implications for her career

Wonder how high Lover could go up on the BB200 if she actually added AOTGYLB to the tracklist

AM US

#21. AOTG (-1)

#37. Anti-Hero (+1)

#109. Lavender Haze (+10)

#163. Lover (+20)

Cruel Summer is also almost at #200 on the all-genres chart, since its barely 2 spots behind the cutoff on the pop genre.

My problem with both rep and especially lover Is lyrically side. She seems too much desperate to have this kind of colloquial  and chatty and easy mood to talk that rappers have. She tried to be this pop female Drake but doesn't work that much.

With midnights she found the right way to make confidential talking pop but with things deepest and less superficial.

This is spot on and describes for me perfectly why I don’t connect with those two albums as much, in particular reputation. She sounds less articulate than we know she actually is. It’s not her usual way of talking. Even Fearless and Speak Now showed much better facility for language.

here for her being on top :gaylorcat1:

Lavender Haze looks like a solid hit in the long run. The main issue is that I'm not even sure how hard it was pushed internationally. It kinda flopped in Australia but did fine both in the US and UK but those are the only countries where we know for sure it got pushed on radio

Colors left for future eras: orange, yellow, dark green, white, beige, magenta, turquoise, silver, peach, silver, dark brown

Apple Music US Update:
#21 (=) — All Of The Girls You Loved Before
#36 (+1) — Anti-Hero
#106 (+3) — Lavender Haze
#157 (+6) — Lover
#191 (RE) — Cruel Summer
