From listening to that I Got It Bad TikTok snippet for a whole year and enjoying the guilty pleasure of Obsessed to AOTY oh it's an emotional day for us real Raecists  10/10 no notes. Usually I hate interludes but I will be listening to the album from start to finish every single time

 

Also it's so ironic having Addison release on the same day as Marina. The album reminds me how Marina did Froot all by herself + David Kosten, but in Addison's case it was 3/4 people and all women. Definitely a very strong statement about women in music.

It's also very sad how Marina's quirky songwriting skills degraded to a point of sounding child like while Addison is able to incorporate that quirkiness or rather campiness into her music perfectly well

She created a whole universe. It feels like to be at a beach, but on a cloudy day. You can smell the sun and also the rain. It feels ecstatic but also anxious. I love music when the all project makes you travel to one particular place and triggers a lot of sensory memories (other that joy, sadness, dancing on the dance floor...)

 

Honestly i like all the songs. They all sound very similar but each one of them has its own subtle elements that makes them unique and worthy to experience.

hmm... the production is definitely the star here, the vocals are about as strong as gas station single-ply toilet paper

High Fashion sounds so much better with the album

"In the rain" needs to be the next single (along with a proper promotion push, with radio, video, live performances etc)

unfortunately, the non single songs are mid

people compare her to madge, lana or w/e but she's actually kinda carly raes daughter when u think about it
she just gets how to do pop perfection and make it seem easy

She performed last night, it was giving toddler talent show on a 20 dollar budget 

 

It looked so dirt cheap that it looked good

I said this to my friend the other day, but in my mind her first tour should be a Britney - M+M's Tour vibe, that House of Blues "tour" she did prior to Blackout, where she hit play on a 5-track CD and bopped around the stage with two dancers and nothing else lmao
