Honestly Bangaranga is easily my favourite ESC performance of this decade, it's really cool, innovative staging without trying hard - so simple and effective. Even the lighting for the first 2 minutes is just incredible. History will look back at it and Doomsday Blue as the most impactful stagings of the 2020s but that's not to take away from the fact Dara is SO charasmatic on stage and she sold the **** out of it

Bulgaria, first time I felt excited about ESC this year I just don't get Australia, it's like listening to a random ESC ballad from the 10s but I guess they're going for that Dani Im formula again but I'd like to think the juries have slightly evolved since then. Finland will likely jury landslide (I don't even like it that much either) and it has to compete with a bunch of similarish songs for jury points and it's not getting top 5 in the televote either.

Genie is literally HER. Half of me is happy, being a heavy SONE back in the day - she does have a right to perform what she was a big part of but the other half knows that she's still never gonna be part of the group (any chance of all the girls supporting that, regardless of SM, would have been ruined by those books) and this is kind of publicity stunt/cash grab to get people talking about her again. I've listened to the album 10 times fully now and every listen I think another song is my fave song. I am in the early stages of dating someone and this album really encapsulates that whole current feeling Oh Godja..

I am still pretty close with my high school friends 13 years later, we have a group chat and we message each other daily there and try to do a group get together at least once a month now that we're all 30 or pushing it. There's around 8 of us and we really have stuck together throughout these years, probably because we were the "weird" & queer crowd in HS. I recently joined a sort of private/independent gym this year and I've developed friendships with a bunch of people of all different ages there since it's the same faces every time you go in and it's really nice. That's probably the only time in my adult life I've developed new friendships.
