So I take a little look at my Grindr every now and then just to see who's around and I've found that they've replaced the block feature with a "hidden" one instead? Meaning you're now hidden from a profile if you decide to "block" them? So I blocked a couple guys I'd dated that were on my grid but somehow they're still able to view my profile and coming up in my viewed list.. They're no longer showing on my grid tho..  Has anyone else seen this feature? Or has this happen to them? I don't like it and I don't feel safe lol

You can still block people on grindr if you have chatted with them before.

However you cannot block people anymore if you haven't chatted with them. It's being replaced with hidden instead.

I just had a look, they can still definitely see me. So weird  Wonder why they changed it

Maybe they made the new accounts.

Block feature still works perfectly fine for me.

Yeah, noticed that too. I usually block the ugly ones first and then focus on the hot ones, but the ugly ones can still click my profile. It's so annoying. I wanted to keep my visitors list pristine 

 

 

Yeah it's so horrible. There's a mean gay at my work and I feel like he opens my profile to make fun of me with other colleagues and there's no way for me to stop him from doing so

maybe he secretly wants you but is scared to make the first move because it'd be unprofessional 

For an extra $30 a month you can get the block feature back 

It's a stealth nerf for those who don't have Unlimited. Because you only have a limited number of profiles you can see without restrictions. In the past if you blocked someone, you'd still see the same number of profiles but without that one that you blocked. With the hide feature you will still 1 less profile because that hidden profile is still technically occupying a grid space for you. If you hide a lot of people in your area you'll be left with very few profiles to see. I wrote to them explaining that the new math isn't mathing, but they didn't gaf because it was perhaps the exact intent. Anyways, I find the app unusable without a premium option which I unfortunately been forking out for for the past many years. It's all corporate greed, their only aim is make the app frustrating to use without a paying option, so their shareholders could rejoice. Those annoying ads are only their to convince you to pay for the premium option

Yeah, I think because people (including me) blocked other people to get new people in the grid.

Idk been blocking people left and right the past few hours so it definitely works for me thank god

Guess I won't be using grindr anymore. I always block all profiles that don't interest me so new ones that might interest me show up on my grid

Glad I stopped using Grindr forever ago after it was annoying AF with ads and trying to get me to pay $30/mo.
