Last year when I was planning my Central American trip I was surprised at my itinerary pretty much skipping every single capital aside from Panama City. All the other capitals were pretty much used as navigation hubs to arrive and immediately leave to a more interesting location within the country. They seemed more like business/commerce hubs with not much else going for them. The ones that were skipped: Belize City, Guatemala City, San Salvador, Tegucigalpa, Managua, San Jose. Mexico City is obviously outstanding. I haven't been further south yet. Is it also the case?

If she can somehow make it children/Disney themed then yes. Pretty much all of her singles, especially lead singles have been aimed at expanding her young fanbase. This type of sound may not align well with that long term goal

There were a lot of songs that knocked it off the summit through digital variants that would have never reached #1 otherwise. Definitely didn't have the Drake song in mind. That was a legit #1.

Not to take away from her achievements and excellent reinventions, but I feel like this is still a rather large gap in her experimentations with different genres. There are a few songs scattered around her career that have prominent guitars (Like a Prayer, Burning Up, I'm so Stupid, Ray of Light) with the most notable example probably being Candy Perfume Girl. Most other pop girls leaned harder into the genre (Just Like a Pill, Fighter, I Love Rock n Roll etc) and even had full rock influenced albums (Try This, Act iii). I think Madonna would have killed this type of sound. I feel like American Life should have been that album. Both thematically and in terms of her album progression (3rd electronic album in a row). And while I love the folkatronica sound of that album, most of the songs could have been reworked into a more rock leaning sound to greater effects. Love Profusion with hard guitars? Yes please. The title song with hard rock chords towards the end? Why not. All the ingredients were already there, including her learning to play the guitar
