Mayhem is a great album, but do we compare a single masterpiece painting to the Sistine Chapel? Repent. 

 

Side note, looking through the BTW tracklist makes me think more artists should organize deluxe albums this way. She included the bonus tracks in the story of the album rather than tacking them on at the end.

Born This Way ran away with this for me. 

Mayhem is a well constructed album. From start to finish, there's not a single skip. BTW displays the extent of Gaga's artistry and she wasn't holding back at all. While it's tough to compare them both because they offer slightly different things, I'd have to say that BTW remains unbeaten here. Mayhem (And Harlequin) is her best work since BTW.

it's difficult to sit though btw tbh, i like all of those songs but then to play it front to back is a struggle. it's just so long loud and intense. mayhem works better as an album

It seems Mayhem is winning for now, but its novelty factor may benefit it. Ask me again in a few months.

I like both equally. Two great albums that would benefit from cutting a few of the corny tracks.

BTW 12 vs Mayhem 2.  BTW wins.

I'm kinda shocked tbh lol I mean BTW is my favorite Gaga album, but I am LOVING Mayhem. But putting them side by side proved the clear winner is BTW. Born this way song vs Abra was the hardest to choose but BTW song is just too iconic not to select (and not to be corny but it meant so much especially at the time it got released <3 ). All in all, BTW album remains her most ambitious, technical, risky, yet strongest album to date. Mayhem, however, is her best since it. As is stands right now after one day of listen, I say is BTW > TFM > Mayhem. Mayhem a Top 3 incredible Gaga album.

 

We need to do the same comparisons of Mayhem with her other albums especially TFM, ARTPOP, and Chroma! I'm very curious now how it would fall in there but I still think it would be Top 3

MTN,Judas,Bloody Mary are really close tbh. Overall MAYHEM is superior but tbh it's hard comparing them as they're both excellent for different reasons.
