We have to give Rihanna credit for being an excellent musical curator despite not writing many of her hit songs, she has an impeccable ear for hits. Her attitude and fashion made her stand out as well so it didn't matter whether she was the best stage performer, Rihanna has a strong presence, she's fearless and versatile and she appeals to many audiences. All of that plus she worked on multiple projects at the same time, always promoting them on a global scale.

it's her worst album idec. The fact that some were saying it's better than 19, and even 25. It's just so low effort and uninspiring.

Exactly, it's mixture of both. Seeing the song trending and enter the Spotify global would obviously incentivise a label / publishing company to push it and invest in a bit of payola as well (saying this as someone who works in the industry). Cause look at the extended music video views… but good for her.

She sold her publishing catalogue, it would make sense that the publishing company is pushing the song, they need to make a return.

Voting is over now so the winners are locked in (unless it's being rigged) Just be in between, don't have your expectations too high/low, but also don't underestimate Gaga's power… remember the win for Joanne. She will pull through and we'll see that on Grammys night.
