Now that it's been nearly 2 years since the reputation system was introduced here, what are your thoughts on it? Did it grow on you, did you always like it, or do you miss the pre-Reputation era?

 

It's literally pointless.

There's less spam because of it, so it's a good thing. People used to quote posts endlessly if they agreed with them.

i sometimes see people who've been here for a decade who are on about minus 20 and think "checks out" so it has its points

Its fine. But you can tell some people literally just run into threads to like farm with corny comments and jokes 

 

not to mention the people who have meltdowns every time their comment gets disliked   it's not that srs boo

I kinda miss those days, you'd have like 5 pages of people quoting the same comment  

 

But yeah the new system is definitely better.

I don't really understand why you only have a popular post with positive reactions. If you manage to piss off multiple people you should also get some recognition, in my opinion. 

i always laugh and zoom in to the posts that gets downvoted & confused reactions.

yea i wish posts that got mass downvoted have a red banner around it to say "panned" or "flop post". similar to when u get mass likes for "popular post"

Billie stans are never in the top 10 so it´s a perfect system

It's a double-edged sword imho. Since people can just like or dislike posts now, there's less incentive to have an actual discussion about things, which somewhat contradicts the point of a forum imo.

 

Though watching some people get like 700 dislikes is kinda funny ngl

I used to dislike it. Now I think it's fine except when some deranged stans downvote anything that criticize their faves
