Just Dance vs Poker Face

Featured Replies

I find myself going back to Just Dance more often. I preferred Poker Face until just last year.

Just Dance has aged better - it's an absolute classic, timelessly catchy. Poker Face is excellent, but feels a little more "of its time," so to speak.

  • Just Dance is one of the best pop songs and chorus of all time, so effortless and energising, makes it a timeless classic

A 1-2 punch most girls don't have when it comes to debuts. Both songs are 10/10, and neither one should be compared to the other.

The two songs that got 6 year old me into music - Just Dance played as we warmed up for dance each week and Poker Face as we cooled down. The teacher was stanning talent from early 2009 :jonny6:

To answer: Poker Face. It's more unique and timeless to me. The lyrics are very intelligent too.

Just Dance is cute but Poker Face is gorgeous

And gorgeous devours cute

I love both, but the first 3 seconds of Poker Face alone >>>>>> pushes it over JD, and well, a lot of songs in general actually! :jonnycat:

poker face >
just dance will always be that feel good smash though

Both are probably her "easiest" and less impressive classics sound wise. JD's chorus consists of primarily adlibs for the most part but that bridge is Synth galore and it works. Pokerface repeating the chorus lyrically and melodically is not cute but the production on that song kinda makes up for it. I would have to go with Pokerface.

This thread made me go check The Fame on Spotify and

Who let Zayn mess up with the tracklist?

isnt that from her revealing song title(s) for the new record?

anyway.. no poll?

the answer is Poker Face!

Just Dance, I always felt it was underrated compared to Poker Face tbh

Just Dance. For sure

Poker Face was more iconic at the time, but Just Dance goes soooo much harder at her shows

poker face live is highkey a snooze

Whew, the way compelling arguments are being made for each…see, when you debut with back to back timeless classics

:WAP:

OT: Gonna have to give it to Just Dance by a hair!

Just Dance makes me so happy whenever I hear it, so nostalgic and the message (while simple) just gets you moving. It could've easily been a generic radio bop but Gaga really brought some magic to it. The opening synths on it too :jonny5:

JD Bridge >> PF Bridge

PF Verses > JD Verses

JD Chorus = PF Chorus

this is hard, legendary behaviour I fear

Just Dance. I honestly don't like Poker Face that much, probably my least favorite The Fame single :celestial2:

Just Dance intro alone >>>>>

and then the wacky bridge, the colby feature (random but adds to its charm), miss akon, the video being so cute and charming and lo-fi :clap3:

Love both but Just Dance has always been my favorite Gaga song, she came in this ***** swinging and that bridge is one of the best bridges of all time

This performance gives 'Just Dance' the edge over PF for me. The intro and synth breakdown :hawkeye:
