I've been listening to ARTPOP a tone this week, and I've realised what makes it so good. It's Gaga at her most pure and unrestrained. It combines absurd concepts, outrageous spectacle, and bonkers electronic production with genuinely irresistible pop melodies. All with absolutely no care if you "get" it or not. It's extremely excessive in its production and melodies, yet refuses to justify that excess through deep meaning. It's just ******* fun. It's like she finally went 'yea, the spectacle is the art, thats the point. The music bangs, that's the point. There's nothing more to it.' Sure you can interpret some of the songs, and they all have some kind of concept. But the concepts are totally secondary to the music. It's purposefully irreverent. Titanium-plated pop put through an accelerator or two and the particle collider to boot. It's an album about nothing at all. Just an explosion of absurd energy delivered with utter conviction. And that's exactly the point. Discuss x

No fr this is a top 15 Gaga song for me. it's a banger, the production is excellent, the hook is fantastic, and her pen was on fire writing those verses. God was truly with her in the studio. also, isn't it crazy how this song is like an underrated deep cut on Mayhem? If it had been on Joanne or Chromatica it would been the CLEAR highlight.

As others have said, Amber Heard's was by far the most alarming. The fact the masses just ate it up and got on board is even more insane. The optics were so clear - Johnny had the money, he has the power, his team were paying for the viral TikTok's. A sham court case and an even bigger sham public shaming. It was scary and eye opening to watch how quickly the public will rally to defend a man and annihilate a woman. Regardless of evidence or due process. The misogyny in those viral clips was so blatant yet inexplicably overlooked

Easily top 5, and a serious contender for the best. Alejandro may have the edge tho

The way monsters act like this song is anything remotely noteworthy is troubling Joanne is when Gaga's mid-career creative decline truly bottomed out, and this song is a prime example of that. put it on ANY of her other albums and it would easily be the most boring song Stockholm syndrome at its finest

As others have said, Act 1 of Mayhem ball is perhaps the peak of her career. the whole show was spectacular, and a total level up on everything that came before it, but Act 1 alone washes the other girls Before Mayhem it was probs Born This Way Ball, but that lacked the polish that Mayhem had. Not helped by the fact it included all of BTW, even the dud fillers (serious what as FOHL doing on a global world tour set list)

Mayhem Requiem is so good it's crazy. I am LOVING her artistic re-peak with this era. Long may it continue. I'm also so immensely glad we finally have a live album. And one that is extremely good at that. So many legendary acts have incredible live albums (Nivarna MTV Unplugged, Madonna Confessions Live). Like… I've not heard a live remix of a song as good as that DWAS performance since Madonna's Erotica confessions recording in 2006. this is a totally different record to the og. And my god it's good THIS is why I stan. She's such an incredible artist
