and btw it's absolutely possible for idols to pass through the airport unbothered when they want to. You very rarely see any details of idols when they're travelling on their own or for ~private schedules~ that don't have their flight information published in advance.

 

There are also several different entrances that would allow them to enter the airport from different, less conspicious locations that don't involve pulling up to the front door in their blacked out minivans.

 

So yeah, let the residents of the Seoul area be pissed at the people who participate in such clownery, maybe it'll change something.

Okay and what's this got to do with the girls themselves...? 

 

Blame SM, blame the airport operator etc. but people cursing at the girls and comments blaming them...makes no sense, how can they control the crowds alone? If SM directed them to pose at the airport and it caused a commotion that's SM's fault. If SM didn't arrange appropriate security staff, that's SM's fault. If fans stalked their flight schedules and crowded the terminal building then that's the fans' fault. These girls are just trying to use the airport like everyone else. 

 

Idk what you are suggesting they do. Even if they dressed low-key or disguised themselves, sasaengs are still following their every move and other fans would find out, causing a crowd anyway.

 

Incheon already tried to set up a separate entrance only for celebrities/public figures, but there was a huge backlash claiming it was unfair preferential treatment, so they scrapped it. Which means there is no choice but to walk through the main terminals with everyone else. I agree there needs to be much better crowd controls, but this is a problem for SM and the airport operators to resolve so that everyone can use the terminals safely in these cases. I don't think H2H deserved to be verbally attacked for it.

The companies don't care if the company is criticized, their reputations are already in the garbage.

 

Unfortunately the most effective way to get the message through is for the GP to direct their frustrations towards the artists that are participating in gross misuse of public infrastructure and causing a public nuisance at the request of their company.

First he posts Saeron's letter to Moonbin that confirms his cause of death, now he's shaming Eunwoo for not attending Saeron's funeral even though he sent flowers to the service, and is accusing Eunwoo's manager who is not even his full time manager and is just a rotating manager that manages other Fantagio idols/actors of sending dispatch stories about Saeron 

 

I'm literally so ******* over this. Kim Saeron deserves justice and KSH can rot but I hate that the family had to resort to a "cyber wrecker" to expose KSH but I know their options were limited bc k media refused to talk with them about KSH.

The artists are not "creating a public nuisance" just by using the airport. If anything, that applies to those certain groups of thoughtless fans and photographers who crowd dangerously and cause a scene in the terminal. Many of these issues could be avoided if certain groups of fans were more respectful to the artist and the public, but again, H2H can't exactly control this. 

 

The problem lies with these types of fans/reporters causing dangerous crowds, the companies being cheap asses and not hiring enough (or sometimes any) security and also the airport operators for not implementing safer controls or processes when celebrities use the terminals. They should have forced through the separate entrance plans despite the backlash. It would have avoided many of these scenarios.

 

Not to mention, this is the first time H2H has even used the airport since debut, they don't warrant being the target of hate/attacks for this at all.

The companies need to stop inviting the media to the airport, and the airports need to stop allowing crowds of people who aren't travelling to congregate and cause a commotion in the terminals.

I suspect the "backlash" was from the companies and brands that insist on using the airport as an opportunity to get pics of their idols hawking their ugly shit.

 

Is it fair that the hate is directed towards the idols themselves? Probably not, but it's the best way for companies to pay attention because they sure as hell don't care about being criticized directly.

The first part, I agree with because it's what I also said previously. However, this situation is not the responsibility of girls themselves and I don't think they deserve to be sworn at and attacked for the actions of other people, or out of control fans/crowds. The airport operators and companies need to take accountability for this. The H2H members are just trying to do their job.

 

The thing is, perceived preferential treatment is a big talking point in Korea for cultural reasons, especially lately. There was a backlash to the separate airport entrance for this reason, which was acknowledged in a statement by an airport official for Incheon when they cancelled their plan. There was also a debate in the National Assembly which argued against it for this reason, stating that it would allow unfair benefits to entertainment companies and their idols, over the general public.

 

Idols can go through the airport quietly, but we all know they have very little autonomy in general, so if the company tells them they need to pose at the airport, it's what they have to do. The blame lies with the companies, wild fans/reporters and airport operators. I just hope some kind of action is taken before anything more serious occurs.
