Oh Album of the year…. I just finished the album oh take me mummies :DWAS:

One Off is my personal favorite

They put meth in this album :chick1:

I LOOOOOOOVE One Off omg it's so different. Feels very much like I'm floating through the sky on that one.

Every song is like a different concept without it feeling too jarring. Ugh I just knew they'd come through.

BTG is ofcourse a bop and omg the greenhouse setup in the MV???? The horticulture student in me feels so seen

Groundwork is a huge bop too I usually hate chanty scream songs like this but there's enough melodies in there to keep me locked in. And the production is so cool.

AND they're doing well on the charts……my god I'm so happy omg

KiiiKiii getting 11M playlisting first day while IVE got less than 6M :toofunny2:

it's not helping with streaming, you must be kidding, that's MAYBE valid only in the kpop world, but unless the remix isn't a solid product it's not doing anything

it's just a way to inflate THE SALES of the track to push it on the chart, obsessed people have more versions to buy (including Taylor's fanbase) - but that will change soon enough since Billboard is changing the rules :flower:

even English versions of kpop tracks aren't doing anything, not even helping with the radio performance in the west, not visible on any chart, they end up as a small fraction of the total streams

the only artist that has remixes among the most popular tracks on Spotify is Jimin and it's very telling :rip:

The U.S. industry relies on multiple versions. That's why we keep getting re-released albums and the original track is duplicated and included even when just releasing remix EPs.

Look at "Anti Hero." The standard song alone got issued three times on the album versions and two more times on remix EPs. There's a reason artists do this. Spotify caps you at 20 plays per TRACK, but not for song. So fans can use Stationhead or a playlist and now go from playing the original song up to 20 times per day to 100 times, making your fanbase 5x more effective. When you're fanbase driven like K-pop, that makes a HUGE difference.

Think of it this way - BTS's Stationhead has 4.83M members. If they release one track with one version, they can get a maximum of 96.6M plays per day. If they were to release as many versions as "Anti Hero," that would be 12x the potential, 1.1592B. Obviously not everyone is going to log onto Stationhead and fulfill that maximum, but there is a reason that remixes and different versions still make a huge difference for all artists.

SM releases these remixes isn't going to make Whiplash that much bigger, but it'll definitely help keep it afloat on the Global 200 and give it a nice second life compared to where it is at now.

They need to stick to the SKZ like sound and they will get streams from me :giraffe::clap3:

Well I was mainly talking about their quirky music with fresh musical arrangements and amazing vocals….But also I'm sorry sis these above songs are way more palatable and less noisy than stray kids music. Idk what it is, but the better melodies and much MUCH better vocalists play a huge part, and you know it

Also don't forget this club/rave banger speaking of SVT's loud upbeat title tracks

:hippo:

4th gen leaders SKZ are finally on their way to LATAM for the first time ever due to their LATAM leg of their record breaking tour:jonny2:

The fact that they will have a 32 hour flight from South Korea to Chile :deadbanana4:

LATAM have truly been waiting for this moment since debut, I'm so happy for y'all besties!  :clap3::sosad: @Mitsuki @xrosup

Later they will also go to North America and Europe, performing in total of 34 stadiums back to back, oh Stray Global  :jonny2:

Lee Know is back with working with Gucci, they will probably announce him as Brand ambassador later this year :clap3:

those are fraud tactics and fake achivements used mainly by armys, see: my comment regarding Jimin

brings no real impact to the song and artist - remixes aren't doing any difference unless the fandom is very big, psychotic and extra organised - you don't see any remix on the chart, but sure, you can get a quick Billboard chart entrance or very high debut and amazing drop the next week :cm:

Anti Hero wasn't a hit because of the remixes :rip: it's shamefull to use remixes for the chart manipulation and that's basically why both willow and Like Crazy are the laughing stock of the pop world for having the record of the biggest drop from #1 :clap3:truly an amazing feat

even Billboard said enough and is changing the rules to prevent this, because it doesn't correspond to the real world's reception of the song and lacks REAL impact and response coming from real people and gp, not bots and lifeless stans (which in fact works only for the biggest and most obsessed fandoms)

conclusion; no, US industry doesn't rely on the remixes, the biggest hits don't have any and still stay on top for months, not for a week after bot stream farming
