Well, this is a bummer.  Remember that story about Kakao posting negative comments about rival idol groups?  Well, apparently Korea's trade commission completed their investigation and concluded that Kakao did not post any negative comments about idol groups from competing agencies. 

 

They were just having employees covertly post links and positive comments as well as funding viral marketing and launching idol content aggregator sites that posted their stuff without identifying themselves as the ones doing it.  They were fined 390M won for the "backdoor" advertising scheme.

 

Still, it was more entertaining to think of Kakao paying for coin slot posts.

 but once again idk really know what's their identity. starship was pushing the bohemian aesthetic as their image narrative in the medias to differentiate them from newjeans when their first song dropped but everything they did since then was different

Yes, CASE 143 which was released in 2022  was shaping up to be a hit, and then in 2023 they released the Japanese version and it gave the song more longevity and become a smash and made it to the year-end charts of 2023 despite being released in 2022. And then they became household names in Japan ever since
