If even Backstreet Boys and NSYNC couldn't win a Grammy during their prime, I'm not surprised that BTS never won. The Grammys never took pop boy bands seriously. It's not only about them being Asian there. Like, even 1D during their prime couldn't get a nomination either. Now, either they do like Drake and keep boycotting the ceremony, or they pull a stunt like The Weeknd, performing but failing to get a nomination afterward.

Yes, of course, music shouldn't be boxed, and besides, "Asian pop" doesn't mean anything at all because it's not a musical genre. That said, the Grammy Awards are an American ceremony… and BTS (the group) isn't one of the Asian artists who were snubbed. Yeah Cortis will definitely get the HYBE push for a nomination and HYBE was definitely aware of this new category way before the official announcement.
