This album literally has no skips. Already Album of the year for me. Exceeded my expectations so hard

the old sevdaliza would go so hard if she was in drums of death or room of fools

The production is INSANE. Twigs the MOTHER and creative genius that you are. This album is legitimately an EXPERIENCE.

Striptease on repeat 🔂

Sticky is soooo good.

the production on this album is otherworldly.

alright! so that concludes my first listen… here are my thoughts

Spoiler

incredible stuff! 9.3 at first glance  to me, every song stands out positively and uniquely in some form or other, except for Sticky. and that's not to say that it's not a great track, it just feels a bit more subdued whereas the experimentation is so explosively unique on all the other tracks. this is truly her The Sensual World moment imo, an album which feels masterful and fun and a bit haunting and still possessing of some melancholia at certain moments and totally enticing. it tells stories, and it feels like an instant classic!

I think my absolute favorite of the new songs, on first listen, is the BREATHTAKING Room of Fools, but I'm gonna give this some more listens tonight in different ways. really impressed though, as always she delivers! Striptease reminds me a lot of In Time which I also adore

WANDERLUST easily my top song  and I will defend it OH and the first 10 seconds of ROOM OF FOOLS?!? Def scratches something in my brain though 🙂‍↕️🙏🏼

i literally feel the björk spilling out of her with the way she sings "conjure" on room of fools

well, I like it, but wish it went harder... Drums Of Death remains the best song.

 sticky outro:

the way she sings "Silk for my tears, and lace for my fears, I'm stripping apart, till my pain disappears" it reminds me so strongly another song that I cant pin point

Childlike Things low key becoming my fav

Sticky

Keep It, Hold It sounds like a Kate Bush-song

Sticky

Bottom tier/trash/skips:

Drums of Death

Room Of Fools

Wanderlust

24hr Dog (this song HURTS my ear, wtf it's bad)

It's an okay album. Her magnum opus stays LP1.

FEVER x RAY OF LIGHT x HOMOGENIC

H E R M I N D !

girl feels good

are we gonna get lonely but exciting road sometime?

Childlike Things is such a bop i genuinely feel so bad for those who don't get it

anyway this is easily AOTY. good luck topping this girlies!

the way this year is gonna be so incredible musically like omfg

first this, then Gaga, Banks, Baths, Youth Lagoon, Perfume Genius, Kesha, Japanese Breakfast, Weyes Blood, LCD Soundsystem, Lights, Spellling… probably so many more I'm forgetting but omfg this masterpiece is only a FRACTION of the amount of great music we're getting this year… and yet it's already giving me album of the year teas to be honest lol

these 2 sentences next to each other seem funny to me minding that 24Hr Dog is the song most reminiscent of her past work, especially EP2/LP1

Keep It, Hold It and the outro of another song I am not sure if its striptease or 24hr dog it reminds of the sensual world because of the Bulgarian elements of it in the bg vocals

This is excellence Girl Feels Good made me ascend. The run of tracks from Room of Fools to Keep It Hold It was incredible.
