Definitely her most sonically accessible album. Not a bad thing at all cause she did it perfectly. Personally I can't relate with literally any track cause 1 i dont have kids 2 i will never have kids 3 i dont even get along with kids at all. But I can appreciate how beautiful the entire project is. The production is immaculate i love strings so I'm lucky with this album. I love how it's full of references ("Like a **** nun in a video hungry for a feeling, blasphemous i always was" the Faith Consuming Hope reference ), the choke enough reference in Fast Alseep, the Face In The Moon reference in Wasp In the Fig….. The sound in Don't Look Back and Favorite is something I don't necessarily want her to come back to in the future. They're not bad at all. But not a fan of that sound for her. Solid album. Not my fav from mother but impressive how beautiful it is. Paradise Rains (career highlight), Practical Amnesia, Hers Before Hers, Crown Jewel, Wasp In the Fig…

i cant relate with most of you cause what do you mean this was not instant? I've loved every single and all the new tracks on first listen it's true that i'm a sucker for this alt r&b alt rock grunge garage mashup…. and who does it better than THEE Kelela? CRYSTALIZE is absolutely gorgeous. Career highlight. How it keeps growing throughout the track, the vocals in the last chorus…. **** me. Goin down, Outta Time (looove these guitars damn), The Bridge… idk it's a perfect solid album. To me all her albums are on the same level cause I appreciate them for different reasons. TMA melodies, vocals and contemporary r&b sound, Raven's more ambient tracks like Fooley and Holier, the immaculate and mature production, and New Avatar cause it's a natural evolution from her previous releases and the melodies, the vocals, production, everything quality remains untouched.

I wasn't even a fan of hers or her previous music (though I was at her set at Sónar Festival 2024) but I'm surprised at how much I liked the album??? Connect the dots, MUSIC GOES ON, rivers run free…. prob top 3 fun guy fungi sound literally like Marina Herlop (check 'Karada' or 'Reina Mora') wtff loved it the only one i might not be feeling that much is AURA. I thought she had more fans around here

Crown Jewel might be her most conventional pop song in her entire discography, and I'm not mad at all it's so good, the chorus melody is infectious. Paradise Rains remains untouched for now, what a gorgeous song. I think Heavenly Body is a different project from Aftermath. The latter is supposed to be grandiose and euphoric (Scripture is part of it afaik) whereas HB is very soothing and mellow (so far).

And why would she choose those words to express what she meant Her case is for the books tbh. Needs to be studied. But as many other said... religion (any) is the worst pandemic of human history.
