I'm not saying this as a hater, I even defended her on other threads and was so excited for a new album, but I expected much more. These sound like Witness or Smile rejects and this urban, tropical sound is not for her imo. She could've comeback HARD with the right material, but these are not it.  I hope the rest of the album is much more pop and less urban, dance sounding.

Dumb sentiment but you could have at least read her caption to the post lol. It was also posted in October, when there was tons of misinformation 

 

It's a bit all lives matter but let's not drag her for this one post? 

I wish she'd collaborate more with people from the pop genre. She's done a lot of rap/hip hop features and it's getting tired. However the songs still sound like bops but I hoped for more diversity

The snippets she teased sounded awful and this is coming from a big Katy fan. I'm so glad I didn't pre order the vinyl now. It's so disappointing that she ran back to Luke for this. It sounds desperate and generic.

Everyone is talking about Nirvana being played on Instagram live but she went on TikTok live and played it again and played an extended version with the drop. The drop is whomp whomp whomp fist pump music. All I see is the Instagram video.

Stop freaking out about the snippets. They were played for, like, 30 seconds with BUSTED audio. You can't really tell if they're bad or not. 

Hmmm I don't know Katy, I was sooo excited.
