The way she played with her gum 

They sound ok but Walking On Air outsold and the lyrics are very contrived. Her whole presentation, from the outfit to the gum chewing, is a full regression to bimbo Katy from 2010 (but worse). Which makes the fact that this is clearly working for her very concerning and think-piece-worthy.

Nirvana, I can see why some are saying (or pretending) they like it. There is no possible way people are being serious about liking the other two.  

 

Very clear her idea of "return to form" is just desperately trying to recreate her past hits. That never works.

I think I don't like the album cover at all. Too AI and fake, she looks distorted somehow. Too thin and too long..

In my head, there's an alternate universe somewhere where 365 was the start of a long, Carly-Rae-Jepsen-and-Robyn-esque indie career where Katy gave us nothing but perfect and yet entirely underrated bops.

Gimme Gimme sounds like something that will stick and be played for a while by all sorts of people. Nirvana is a gay bop apparently so I guess it has less appeal for other demographics.

Her music is so … on the nose (if that is the right phrase lol)

I love Nirvana and Gimme Gimme based on the snippets. However… It's His, He's Mine is not sounding too great.
