Katy Perry - '143'

Since there's nowhere else to discuss her on the forum right now, do we think those tour dates were fake?

I can't see her touring arenas with these numbers and reception.

I'm tired of the hate train against Katy. Why do people keep picking on her? It's so unfair....... Even though her so-called friends drove her into becoming a rape victim and gossiped about her b

it's literally a song for her kid?

why are you taking the lyrics of this particular song so serious?

are people not allowed to have criticism for awful ******* music? the same argument people use to defend horrible animated kids movies is stupid when she's mass marketing a POP album to her fans. if she truly wanted to make a song for her kid she'd keep it to herself.

Honestly, this wouldn't be so bad if the lyrics weren't Kidz Bop edit atrocities. They make everything sound like Christian summer camp music :ahh:

There was no need to release it

This is literally what said about HIH when it was first released. And now ppl act like it's treated like a masterpiece s:wan:

And what does that achieve? that song is half a decade old and I was praising it on release. that doesn't make this half assed bag of kim petras demos and literal copied ava max tracks good.

That dumb Has a Heart song is low-key top 2 on the album. I've had it stuck on my head since playing it (5 mins ago) which is more than I can say for 99% of the album.

I mean, the lyrics are incredibly dumb, but at least it's catchy.

That's why it's a BONUS track; aka a gift to the fans or whatever. It's not even available on streaming or as part of the album

Dedicating a song to their newborn child is literally, and I mean literally, a watershed moment in the discography of every big female artist in music since the dawn of time.

Like what's not tracking here? It's getting scary

She already has like 5 songs dedicated to her child and pregnancy on Smile. Daisy is 5 years old I swear some of yall just started listening to Katy last week the way you act comatose about the past half decade of her career. If we wanna use children as an argument, Beyonce was able to eloquently incorporate her children into her music and do so in a beautiful way by making them lullabies, not half assed songs about loving themselves with platitudes about the world being scary. This "gift for the fans" bullshit makes zero sense when the target demographic she wanted to reach with this album is poppers gays who will listen to anything with a club beat and a vague hook. Idk how you'd expect that audience to react well to a Nina West original track.

I wonder if Katy is half as invested as you are tbh

You are ANGRY about a song dedicated to a CHILD. A vinyl exclusive no less.

This **** is creepy at this point.. I'm so serious when I say I hope Katy ups her security

The last couple tracks are cute but overall it does feel very generic and passionless. Odd how she was talking on her shows that anyone wouldn't dare call her a flop, it doesn't feel that she's even invested in singing these songs

IT'S SO GOOD. My top 3 (as I suspected) are Gorgeous, All the Love, & Wonder. The album is so listenable and the transitions are :flame:

has a heart is adorable and feels like a proper katy song.

I only see Katy as an arena artist. I don't see a show of her caliber being put into theaters.

I enjoy Katy and wanted to enjoy this album. I've been to her last two tours (Witness and Vegas) and am gonna see her 143 tour. Am I not allowed to have an opinion suddenly?

this is quite disingenuous. pretty much a staple for an artist who has children to dedicate a song to them...

need we continue?

So they are going to just black tarp more than half of the arena like Kim P?
