Truthfully this ain't that bad. It's pretty much on par with Prism if you ask me (it doesn't have anything as good as Spiritual though). 

 

Like, anyone expecting soul and introspection and innovation from Katy is kidding themselves and us. She gives us simple pop bops and truthfully she delivered a handful here. Hate train CANCELED!

not crush being first decent song but put fifth 

A soulless, vapid, uninspired and dated collection of AI'd songs. No artistic growth and no reinvention, like how can someone be in this industry for 16 years and not have anything worthy to say or make? 

 

She has no artistic merit and is completely washed as an artist. TD was a fluke and Prism was just goodwill carried over from the former. She is done. Hope she is able to find and pursue other endeavors.

First listen since the listening party and Truth is still the only skip of the album

 

Listening with headphones made Crush, All the Love, and Nirvana sound so much better though  

 

Honestly not sure how anyone could say this is worse than the album that has Smile and What Makes A Woman on it

I hope she receives AL THE LOVE tomorrow in Rock in Rio. Glad she chose the best people in the world to embrace her during this time. This hate wave she is receiving is not normal.

The album sounds straight out of 2012. That aspect isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there's not much that make it feel fresh at the same time a part from a track or two. It almost feels lazy. 

Wonder and Nirvana are great. 

Is something wrong with me that Artificial is one of my favourite tracks on the album

Wonder is probably the most beautiful song she's ever done and with Daisy singing the intro and end it's beautiful. Now I'm gonna need a daisies/wonder mash up

the skips for me was crush and gimmie gimmie

Wonder and IHHM are the standouts to me.  Everything else sounds like a random Katy song from any of her albums post-debut.  Wonder is the only track where whatever she thinks she has to say actually comes across as genuine and with meaning.  She just sucks, I'm sorry.

Okay so let me rank all the songs

 

WOMAN'S WORLD - 5/10: I feel like this song was legitimately a cute offering in the beginning but it just wasn't lead single material at all and kinda gets boring after a few listens. 

 

GIMME GIMME - 7/10: I absolutely love Katy's parts on this and 21 Savage verses are surprisingly listenable. I see myself listening to this more often. The melody works very well.

 

GORGEOUS - 5/10: Again I truly do like Katy's parts on this song but Kim Petras really doesn't add anything to this at all. It's a sexy bop, something to get ready to etc… I guess I liked the beat, next!

 

I'M HIS HE'S MINE - 7.5/10: I still love this. Doechii's verse is just amazing, the chorus is fun, the sample is actually pretty well executed on this track. One of my favorites on this album.

 

CRUSH - 6.5/10: I don't really think another song on this album needed a chorus with the words "la da da dee" like ma'am IHHM already fulfilled that purpose. The verses are good and the beat is great actually but the post chorus with the la da da dee part is kinda meh. 

 

LIFETIMES - 6.5/10: I don't really think this track contributes THAT much on this album looking back. Its a cute pop song, probably sounds amazing live, but for me it aged a little. Maybe cause its overplayed. 

 

ALL THE LOVE - 9/10: One of the most heartfelt songs on the album. Honestly one of her best songs ever. Her delivery is incredible on this one. And the verses are amazing.

 

NIRVANA - 7.5/10: Again a solid track. This should've been the lead single. Yes it kinda sounds like something Moldova would submit for Eurovision but at the same time, it fulfills its purpose as a cute upbeat pop single. It would sound nice on radio. Its a bop ma'am!

 

ARTIFICIAL - 8/10: I love the experimental element of this track. THE VOCALS are insaneeee, I truly like this one the most along with All The Love. JID's verse is incredible too. Lyrically also one of the greatest songs on here. And the chorus is very memorable.

 

TRUTH - 8/10: I CLAIM THIS ONE!!!! I loveee it. Mindless bop yes but something I definitely see myself listening to a lot in the future. I like the toned down production and vocally also one of the better songs.

 

WONDER - 7/10: Daisy's parts are so cute ugh, I like the nostalgic elements on this but it kinda sounds like an Owl City house mix from 2011 😭😭😭 I have to admit that this track needs some tike with me…

The best is Artificial-Truth (these are companion pieces), Gorgeous and Crush. Honourable mentions, All the Love for the Katyiest song of her discography. Nirvana is great segway to Artificial but should be a little longer for that extra oomph. Gimme Gimme to Gorgeous was pure camp and fab. WW should have been reworked as an intro to the album. 

 

Score 7 in terms of enjoyment value and extra points for the entertainment value of Artificial alone. So 8 *^*.
