Her debut is one of my favorite albums of all time, I genuinely haven't been this excited for a new album in years I was pretty sure she was retired or something. We haven't even had a single in like 5 years

I was there last night, it was a great show! It was my fifth time seeing her (I've been to every tour since Pageant Material) and I think it was the best of her arena tours, but PM/GH tours are still my favorite. Agree with others on the set list. I would have liked to see at least one song from both Deeper Well and Pageant Material, especially PM with her returning to her country roots with this album. The staging is fantastic though. The 360° rotating stage was a great idea with how many songs she sings just standing with a guitar. The lighting was also really cool and she finally looked at home on such a big stage. I hope Rhinestoned goes viral with the disco ballsack . The best seats are probably the 100 level tbh. I was on the floor and there were a few points I couldn't see her since she was on the other side of the stage.

Concerning but comparing a 2021 poll from one pollster to a 2026 one from another is a pretty bad data crime. Better to compare YouGov's 2021 poll which had 64% support and 36% opposed. Although the oppose number has actually decreased since 2021 so idk what to make of that

I hope the vocal distortion in "now I'm shut the **** up" makes it to the studio version The outro is so catchy, I wish it was repeated a couple more times

There's a warmth to her vocal and fullness to the production that was missing on 143 Glad she went for a fully guitar-driven song. This is exactly what I wanted the song to sound like

I'm confused how songs from Middle of Nowhere have been charting so frequently. This isn't even top 200 on US Spotify or Apple Music. Is she like #1 on Tidal or something?

I don't love it as much as I wanted to, but Come and Bruises are both great. Self titled and Natural Causes were both much better albums for me.

Same, I was listening to the vinyl on Friday and my neighbor texted asking if I was listening to the new Kacey album

I also met her on that tour. I bought the VIP meet and greet ticket before her AOTY win so it was dirt cheap (cheaper than my Middle of Nowhere Tour tix). I met her with my then-boyfriend who I met the week Golden Hour came out, and now we're getting married this week and using Butterflies and Golden Hour as key songs in our wedding She might hate that man now but at least I got some lifelong memories out of that album

I got floor tickets for about 230 including fees. They weren't that hard to get but she just added a second Chicago date so they must be selling decently

I would buy the digital version but the last time she pulled this all we got was Ruthless Not falling for that again

I'm pretty pleased with this so far It's really hard to tell where it will end up in the long run for me with Kacey albums. Golden Hour is my most played album of all time (and Deeper Well is #3) but I honestly go back to STDP the most these days. Sonically this fits somewhere between Pageant Material and Golden Hour. I Believe In Ghosts, Coyote, and Mexico Honey are my immediate favorites. But Jade Green was my #1 when DW came out and now I hardly listen to it, whereas I didn't like Too Good To Be True as a single and now it's my most listened to DW song so who knows where things will end up

But demanding 2 parking spots for every apartment across the board doesn't make any sense. There are very few, if any, apartment complexes where there's demand for 2 spaces per unit. The demand may be somewhere between 1-2 per unit in a suburban location, and under 1 per unit in urban locations. The appropriate ratio should be up to the property owner to decide, not a blanket mandate by the state government. Every additional unnecessary parking space added is taking space away from a potential housing unit and helping drive up the cost of rents.

Illinois already banned parking minimums near transit state wide, and it's working just fine. It makes zero sense to force developers to add parking where it it's not needed and just drives up housing costs unnecessarily. Developers should add as much parking as the specifics needs of the development demand and no more. The BUILD Act essentially just legalizes some common sense housing options that were legal/common before exclusionary zoning took over America.
