I find it really weird how Olivia can't dodge the plagiarist claims but Miley does NOT give a **** about this type of thing. :rip:

pretty much all of those 2000s pop rock songs sound the same

Some of you keep cheering for these post-Blurred Lines lawsuits and then complain about today's music filled with lazy interpolations... Like, why do y'all think that is? It's because songwriters are so afraid of getting hit with a lawsuit that they'd rather play it safe and interpolate the same seven Eurodance hits from the 90s. :rip:

OT: No. You can't copyright a vibe, and chords are finite.

Every single artist should all sue Olivia at the same time, because with her 23 song she copied every single song to ever exist.

omg i'm glad i'm not the only one thinking this. literally just listened to both songs in the car after finally realizing what it reminded me of :dies:

Miley doesn't care tbh, she already praised Olivia for Good 4 U being a modern day version of 7 Things

I'm more concerned with the people playing dumb & pretending Olivia wasn't influenced by her!

Yes, but only because I need ATRLers to have another meltdown and a good laughter :coffee:

Isn't that Fefe Dobson's song? GET THOSE SONGWRITER CREDITS, FEFE!!!!

No, Miley probably couldn't care less. If anything, she's flattered.

Not only that, the melody at the end of the verses lift heavily from The Cranberries’ Dreams.

She wouldn't win and if she did, it would be pretty bad for music - but you guys don't really care beyond petty stan wars on here and getting your lick on a 20-year-old girl y'all don't even know.

Y’all are so thirsty to cancel for these “plagiarism” dramas that you completely neglect to realize that you don’t have the faintest idea how music works.

ALL modern music is derivative. There is no such thing as new music, new melody, new chord progressions. All the new ones of those were written centuries ago. All music today is just a remix of those centuries old bodies of work.

Shut the **** up with these PLEASE, you all have to realize at some point how stupid you sound when you post this nonsense every time someone drops an album.

Honestly yeah, the chorus is the only good part on AAB :baseball:

Yes she should. She literally copied the whole song once again.

That one user claiming Olivia would never be inspired by Miley's music yet she lifted 15 year old Miley's song. I have to LAUGH.

No. Miley wouldn't care anyways. You can literally find tongs of songs that sound similar but ppl are going to do this with Olivia forever now but she's still putting out great music at such a young age.

Miley isn’t broke or irrelevant or reaching for the stars with these song comparisons unlike that Paramore girl so no she won’t. She’s busy promoting her hit records, “Flowers” and “Used to Be Young”. She’s not an opening act 15+ years into her career either baby.
