I think it will be just fine, but I don't think they'll finish adapting all the books or if they do, the latter seasons will be really bad

Black children and teens get adultified, but also I wanna say most of the people on these forums are usually younger than Beyonce and just kinda remember her always being around.

All the "Slayyyter was 15" excuses are ridiculous and just show a blatant disregard for black people's feelings. Black people were 15 too. You guys act like saying these things online are victimless crimes, but there are black people in the world and online who have to put up with these attitudes everyday. It's not something that deserves to brushed aside, just because she apologized one time. She can't issue an apology every year, but her and her fans should at least shut up and respect that what she did was heinous and should follow her for the rest of her life. Was everyone really so woefully unprepared for the fact that getting a bigger audience means more people (including black people!) finding out that she was being racist on the internet? Also, what harm is she even receiving from people bringing up that she was racist? She performed at Amsterdam to a sold out show, she just sold out MSG and white people en masse are telling the few black people complaining online to shut up on her behalf.

I really thought she'd atoned and changed, but these comments, as well as her stans acting like she's owed support, do not inspire confidence. The thing a lot of white artists and people don't seem to understand is that even when you're apologetic, you're not owed forgiveness for racism. It's wild crazy that you all think because she wrote a letter and gave some money to some black people that every black person is supposed to be okay with her slinging the N-word around and spouting off microaggressions. She's a great artist and I want to believe that she wants to be a good person as well, but this strong-arming black people to act like racism is just another childhood milestone is ridiculous and just serves to make black people even more annoyed with how the constant disrespect and depersonalization based on our skin color is easily dismissed.

Love the rebrand - I did like some of their songs before, but this is definitely setting them apart from the other girl group revivals lately. I also have to disagree with the idea of adding a new girl. Every new girl group is trying to do 4-5 girls in a group and them having 3 members with this tight chemistry and who have clearly learned each other's voices helps to make them more unique.

It's really idea 1 by Kelela, but Sunglasses is good as well. Madonna, Kim, Slayyyter are all good too

They're not good and people are finally getting tired of mindlessly supporting her bad music

Confessions II. I think the album's great, clears most of these, it's an incredible feat for someone who has been in the industry so long, and it's a sin to not have Madonna win album of the year at least once - and she's given us an extremely worthy contender

Like…she might like Xtina but she's always cited Janet and Britney as her biggest influences. Also she's a dancer and Xtina can't dance

Yeah, I used to be into them before Jesse dated Billie AND their drummer assaulting Maria Zardoya (and then them bringing him back after firing him briefly). I still hear the song every year, it's a modern fall classic unfortunately, y'all probably aren't outside enough

The Pitchfork score is a bit too high. This is the first Tove album I really struggle to play through, and I only like 5 of the songs (DNH, Are We On a Break, I'm Your Girl Right, FAMT, and Die For My Art With a Lonely Heart). Idk what the hell she was thinking. That's still mother though but damn

Obviously the numbers are objectively good, but you cannot act like a 60% drop on your 2nd day is indicative of anything good

She won't wake up unless the Grammys snubs her. I doubt they will, but she needs it more than ever.

Just a good tight debut album. I think the music on the Sellout EPs was a bit more diverse and I miss that a touch, but it's hard to argue against an album that's so well put-together.
