Radio tried to give a chance to River though. It has made it all the way to #17 on pop radio despite being a massive bomb. That's a better radio performance than whatever Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, Midnight Sky and Prisoner had going on for them.

 

I remember it was getting like +200 daily spin updates but very poor audience updates. People just didn't click with the song.

 

Let's all hope listeners will embrace Jaded and the radio support translates to some love on streaming too.

Relax. Follow-up singles to mega smashes often get swallowed up. The era is fine, Jaded will do better.

Jaded is such a logical follow up to Flowers.  Similar to that smash while still standing out from it. Considering how much the GP loved Flowers, I can see them eating this up too with some radio support

I love VC, but I don’t see it doing well as a single. It’s melody is very understated and the production is also very understated. I love it, but she’s definitely in her Gaga circa 2016-2018 era. The GP wants emotion and relatability from her, I fear

It really doesn’t sound like it’s from 2013, like at all.  It just isn’t that hit-ready.

It's honestly doing great on radio so far, consistently climbing daily & seems to be the strongest new song rn (#1 Taking Off)

 

 

Radio is making room for it, hopefully we can get a video in the next few weeks 

I dont mind this going slow and building up airplay 

 

Flowers is still massive there is no rush

That over produced pop sound, bad mastering with the sing talk lyrics. It’s very much of that era. She even has a song similar to it on CBT .

I hope this does well - I'm gutted River wasn't a smash. This album is so good.
