NewJeans choreos are unique because they dance to the lyrics not the beat 

this is why I love them

do people in here are aware that k-pop dancers are far away from being real dancers? I mean dancers have personality in their movements too, being sharp and on point won’t make you an exceptional dancer and most of kpop idols (especially gg) are mostly doing poses with being really well synchronised 

 

that’s why Lisa is so popular, she’s great and she has that flavor! and then NewJennies are simply looking like they have fun other than just executing the hardcore-looking moves 

 

also I’ve seen a lot of dancers raving about NJ’ choreo and how they use and execute old school hip hop moves 

Eh NewJeans are not the best performers and that's fine. Not nearly as good as LSF or Itzy. But one of the greatest things about them is their choreo, it's the main reason why HypeBoy & OMG have outpaced Attention & Ditto respectively. Instead of just synchronizing to moves like everyone else is doing, they're holding hand hands, high fiving each other, hugging each other, looking directly at each other, etc. They give off the vibe of a group of best friends having fun doing TikTok dances instead of your average KPOP group which I think is a big reason they're doing so well 

 

Comparing them to XG doesn't even make sense when they're 2 different groups with different aims

Yep, though I think the same is true for why Ditto did really well too, but instead of the best friends vibe, it was more of a nostalgic one, like a friendship lost or a period of time & good memories with friends slowly fading away. 

 

 

NewJeans are not good performers and worse than LSFM  like please, they just have completely different choreo type, like LSFM is more like typical kpop and NJ’ are based on 90s and 00s moves - both are doing amazing work

 

please show me other gg (sans BP) where all the members can shine on their own like those girls - the charisma alone is on a different level
