We didn't really interact much on here but we were in the same discord server for a while and I like to think we were friends. I know he was going through some difficult stuff but didn't imagine any of it would end up like this. It's nice to see that so many people have such nice things to say about him though. I hope his family is doing ok. RIP Buddy, we will miss you 

I'm devastated, we hadn't spoken in a while but I still considered him a friend. We were in many of the same social circles over the years and I remember so many fun moments with him, especially during the 2020 primary season where we spent a good amount of time together. He truly was a unique and iconic person who left a mark on everyone who came to know him. I truly hope he is at peace. RIP Buddy

This is devastating. 

 

I mostly got to know Buddy through discord, he was a lovely spirit & notable presence, who always stood out in his own unique way. 

 

He’d drag you by the roots, but underneath the persona was a kind, intelligent person, with a sharp sense of humour. 

 

We’d briefly bonded over shared ambitions to help people and animals & I know he was working towards his desire of getting into a field where he could help & comfort others. He was an incredible advocate for those with disabilities. We became discord friends, though our one on one conversations tapered… and I wasn’t too aware of his personal circumstances. 

 

Now I really wish I’d reached out more. I hope you rest easy bud, somewhere enveloped in your favorite shade of yellow sunlight... You’ll be missed & remembered by many.

Incredibly sad news - RIP to him, and thoughts to his family/friends  I didn't know him well, but we had our fair share of interactions back when I used to frequent the Civics section, and he was always such a respectful and kind presence there. On a forum that's often characterized by its mess and chaos, he was an uplifting example of someone who made a genuinely positive impact here.

Buddy seemed like a really kind and smart person and I will never forget the message he left me when I was at a low point. It's sad to see one of the most prominent people here pass away so unexpectedly.

Oh my goodness rip & my condolences to his family. I recall seeing his posts all the time on here...I hope he's resting well. 

I still can't believe one of us has died at such a young age I don't want to speculate, but does anyone know how he died?
