What I mean is that she is not going to want to overshadow a big project she has been working on with a single announcement. That is why she snuck in the teaser at the end; hype us up and to let us know it is coming, just to be patient. It is basically what we have been asking for: some kind of sign that she is releasing soon. There is also the possibility, and maybe I am reaching here, that HBO does not want or is not allowing her to announce anything until a certain time has passed for this very reason. They paid big bucks for the special so they want as many eyes on it as possible. If she announces a new single right now, no one is going to watch the special to see the teaser.
