they should have started with signed digital cover, CD or maybe cassette before going to those expensive vinyl

They announced Beyoncé 5 days prior to the ceremony. Maybe Gaga will be announced next monday-tuesday. Or maybe tomorrow (when voting starts).

Plus Tom Whitlock, TMBA's lyricist who won BOS in 1987, recently passed away so she's been asked by the Academy last minute to do a TMBA/HMH medley as a tribute to him and to the film's legacy meaning she has a special performance lined up to be announced either later this week or early next week closer to the ceremony. 

 

Again, spring next year seems realistic for a new album. It gives her a full year to prepare and record. This year is too optimistic, but 2025 and later is too far. It’s a good compromise.

Spring would be pushing it, imo. She'd have to release at the top of the year to give her enough time before Joker promo starts, which will probably be a second half of 2024.

 

Or she can release and pull a Beyonce and let the music speak for itself. Of course this base will be insufferable because "NO PROMO WE CAN'T LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH HER CHART SUCCESS" but that's the only thing that makes sense to me.
