There's a much higher chance of a carefully curated, all killer no filler album, and better songs mean better replay value so I can enjoy it over a longer period of time which makes the wait slightly more bearable when baseline quality is there.

Doesn't matter if it wasn't a hit or doesn't receive the recurrent love that it should, it is still widely recognized in pop circles as one of her best songs and a massive fan favourite. BM, Judas, GH, Scheiße, Americano etc. all found new lives years later and maybe one day MTN will too, because BTW is just THAT album. Also, can you imagine the BTW era without this self-directed visual opus? "The Prelude Pathétique" alone is more iconic than careers. Thriller could never. Dpmo.

We know why. OT: Terribly steep but deserved drop. One of the most unnecessary expansions of a mid album that's not just an artistic low but also a massive stain in recent pop culture history. No amount of deflections will change that.

And this is with certain publications operating from a place of constant negative bias against her as @cloudbusting pointed it out earlier in base She doesn't get enough credit for her consistency and quality.
