I really think they are just trying to convince themselves atp. I think they care more about her getting a hit to gain bragging rights then her actually delivering great music. I mean the first thing they jump to is playlisting and how she's being sabotaged not knowing that if she made undeniable music it would connect and thus lead to playlisting.. Spotify aren't just gonna hand out freebies if you haven't been a reliable hitmaker for over a decade.. If anything I actually think something like TDD doesn't connect as much because they aren't weird enough, only her generic ballads smash, her generic pop music never really does as well this honestly a good take, i agree. whenever gaga goes too generic, it just doesnt land unless its a ballad. shes built her legacy on being weird and bold, and even if people find it strange at first, shes the only artist who can truly own it. gaga doesnt need to play it safe or go the hac route anymore; her brand of pop is one of a kind and thats what keeps her essential. heck even the name gaga means crazy in my language. she has to own it.
