Trueee, Chromatica felt like an interrumpted sneeze. It has some of her best lyrics and the visuals were giving. CBT was also amazing.

Chromatica is unique in that it might be the ONLY Gaga album where Gaga was severely let down by the producers. Obviously it still has its jams like ROM, 911, BabyGOD, Alice, Replay etc. but damn it's her most generic/bland (in terms of production) BY FAR   It's not even funny. 

 

Gaga did her job, she wrote good songs, melodies & lyrics are great, vocals are great and the producers failed. Maybe she didn't instruct/direct them properly so it could be her fault too, but I feel like she definitely did, because the early demos showed VISION and then we heard about how BP was kinda more in charge than Gaga was cuz she allowed him to do so and the final result was a bit vanilla'd generally. And A LOT vanilla'd for a Lady Gaga record. 

 

I still STRUGGLE to comprehend how and why and WHAT they did to the good sis Free GODDESS which would've been an album highlight   It's unforgivable.  

 

Also I am really glad she is not trying to have a "cohesive!!!1" record with LG7, because damn 1000 Doves is so much better as piano version than it is as a generic bop.

The DWAS music video is less than 1 million views away from reaching 500 million. Surpassing that mark later today + DWAS (hopefully) getting the #1 tomorrow would be really cunty tbh. The song is already at 1 billion plays on Youtube Music.
