December 28, 20241 yr comment_26986332 My (extremely) unpopular opinion is the Folie a Deux is her best original song this year. DWAS and Happy Mistake are good songs, but she has far better ballads. Disease is just a rehash of the "dark pop bops" she used to serve, but nowhere near as good as Bad Romance or Judas for example, so it treads no new territory yet doesn't come close to the source material it tries to emulate. Folie a Deux meanwhile is a beautiful waltz that perfectly "falls apart" as she describes it. Only she could release an experimental piece of classical music that emulates a Disney soundtrack song on drugs. Dare I say it's the only truly inspired and "Gaga" piece of music she's released this year.
