Even during the hiatus, I'm still entertained ahh

Even if people forget about her music career they WILL remember she vacations and is always on the right side of history 👏🏻

Is you going back and forth between saying I should "kill myself" on discord and asking me here for info some sort of split personality disorder?   I never said anything about new era and I

  • We did get a copyright notice regarding the single thread that had to be closed, so at least that’s some sort of confirmation that the song is important enough for them to get it removed here

Dua Lupe

This live album / full show is officially the end of Radical Optimism era cries

Can we all admit she gave us a lot this era, not as comercial al FN but compared to recent eras from other pop starts she gave us all Iconic Perfomances, Global Tour, Glastonbury & 2 live albums I only wish she could had released a 4th single

But overall I'm happy with the era, I'm ready for DL4 even I know it won't be released this year

It wasn't a perfect era, we all have our issues with the rollout/promo, but that's okay! The tour was a huge success and she had cute mini viral moments with some of the covers/special guests. I am so excited for DL4 and its' tour. Don't even care about the wait (as long as we get something in 2027...)

Radical Optimism established her as a touring force. Now, for DL4 can we go all-out with promo for at least the first 2 singles, Miss Lipa?

The comments on the snippets being overtly negative chick3 You guys really don't like them at all? Ngl I initially felt the same, but they are quite interesting overall.. There is a high chance none of them end up on the record, but yet most of them are very very recent and this is basically her direction right now. That being said she's back to the "old days", instead of being focused with one group of people, she has tons of different sessions with different people, there is almost no overlap between producers/writers involved in these tracks. So she's on a mission to squeeze the best of the best from many talents.

I think ot overall will be hard to judge on snippets. I like the overall sound being pop. I love RO, but it translate better in the live versions. I guess she is back to instant pop and I think that is the right direction. I trust her

I mean we can't issue any judgements based on snippets alone but my issue is that they don't really seem to have a distinct identity. I mean a lot of leaked FN songs, you could tell they were written and produced with a certain sound in mind. These sound so.. whatever. I want more cohesion and something that instantly makes me go 'oh she's going THERE'

The snippets are too short to really have an opinion. The production is clearly an improvement over the Danny L Harle, Kevin Parker RO tracks. She needs to do something about the lyrics though, in order to further distance herself from the Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, Katy Perry type of music). That stuff doesn't sell. Thank god she had sessions with Amy Allen (based on her IG stories)

Her A&R has been a complete mess since she left TaP which is weird cause Joe is still involved with her. But I really don't like this idea of just fishing with different songwriters to see what sticks. Now more than ever it's so important to have distinct visual imagery alongside your music. People want escapism and that 'era' feel and if she's just gonna give us a couple of singer songwriter esque dark pop songs she's not gonna make it.

I am sure she has a theme of where she wants to go. But I also totally get why she is shopping around.

I mean even for FN she recorded songs like Not Over You, Sleep No More, All The Money In The World and Forgiveness.

You never know what she has laying around next to these snippets and what she may have recorded last week or in the near future

I love the 2 and 6, tell me those are gonna be in the album 😭

I can't disagree unfortunately, maybe she's not there yet, maybe she'll never be, maybe she's just not that kind of artist and her interest is just making fun pop music without crossing any boundaries

This however I can counterpoint, cause while obviously you can't tell from the snippets there is a very noticeable shift in songwriting. The sound might be fooling, but these are generally her most personal songs yet, she's singing about some topics she's never even.. touched on publicly at all really. There is a lot of satirical commentary on fame/being a star. I think she'll deliver on that field far more than before.

However the problem is that I don't know how they're gonna "sell" it with the whole world having this picture perfect image of her. She is essentially living a dream life chick1

That's fine but if this is the trajectory she's going in for album four and five (cause we all know she's retiring after five) then that just proves more that FN was a fluke. Which I hate to say.

The first snippet "DL4 #1" sounds very different to the other snippets, it feels so fresh and it has that 00's alternative and electronic sounds, it's giving Queens of the Stone Age vibes.

People are so annoying, I don't understand why some fans are trying to say this snippets are trash... Dua is really focusing on changing her brand and sound with this new record and that's why she is working with Mark for example...

I still remember when the first DL2 leaks surfaced with songs like 25/8, Good Things or Love is Religion leaked and the album ended up as something different like Future Nostalgia...

So... just let's wait! Let's hope she release that snippet 1 because it's good!
