If they do a repeat of FN and RO by launching a single in Q4 and then six months between the lead and the album.... please tell me they've learned from that

I mean tbh, whether she likes or not, one of the main reasons she got to the point where she is, is the focus on performances. I fear that was one of the contributing factors as to why the RO era feels so empty. Yes we got the London Sessions, Glastonbury and the RAH. But no actual performances outside of a bubble that is mainly catered to people who like her anyways, beside SNL and Tiny Desk.

It honestly doesn't matter when she releases a lead single, but if they want a next era to get traction, she needs to be everywhere. And I get that in this day and age promotional performances on shows, award ceremonies aren't as frequent as in 2020 or before. But it is one of her biggest strengths and even if she just does it for the first 3 singles and then decide to take the RO approach, it probably would be enough to give the era a foundation. People love to see her on tour, so she will always have that. And I get that her life and career have gained other priorities for her like her endorsements, Service 95 etc. but I would love for her to show atleast for one more time that people shouldn't underestimate her.

It's give and take though. If the public isn't hyping your songs up then there is little incentive to keep doing performances. FN kept getting more and more performances as the era went on because people actually responded well to the music. The music (and the marketing around it) needs to be solid first.

True, though even if we look at her home market, the UK, I feel she easily could have had an other #1 with some promo. Like Training Season needed a little more push after the Brits.

It's not like people in the UK and mainland Europe wouldn't respond to the music. It's just the US who had the hardest time for RO.

Ehhhh idk. This might be a little controversial but I think her popularity in the UK (aside from the tour) is actually a little... underwhelming. I mean you'd think with the way that she has won so many Brit Awards, was able to sell out Wembley, that she'd have a little bit better of streaming numbers there. But she's constantly pulling below other artists mainly from the U.S. like Sabrina, Chappell, Billie etc. A month after RO's release she only had Houdini and TS still charting on the Daily Spotify Chart there whereas Sabrina had 6 songs charting (and this was before SNS was even released)

Maybe, but that is where those little promo pushes come in, Houdini peaked #2 and Training Season #4.

I personally don't really care about numbers, but these seem easy wins for me.

But we'll see.

I would love Dua to take a darker route - kinda like Toxic by Britney and Maneater by Nelly Furtado. I would like Dua to reinvent herself as I feel a female popstar should do with every album.

Honestly I think she could be the one to dip toes into something more experimental in terms of styles and mixing them like Madonna did with Ray Of Light album but Im afraid she will go more safe way after RO

Houdini was a darker production lead single. I'd like to see something fun and upbeat for her next lead.

I kinda need something unexpected/random to happen. Like a collab on a project that nobody expects and that actually be a globally pushed single.

Danny, Jennie etc are her friends. It would be cool to just be completely suprised.

I do think, considering she's working with Lostboy and was seen with Tate in Paris, that is going to end up being a collab.

She looked and sounded great for the Mark tribute, I'm relieved

I wonder if the Danny song and this performance are them soft launching her again or if it's purely coincidental

They are probably testing the waters, hopefully if she sees criticism about the Two Hearts chorus she will use it as constructive motivation to come back with something better and give it her all, like she did when she was memed before FN

She's had a really positive reception with the Mark Ronson performance so far, so maybe she will go back to that sound but elevate it for 2026

I'd be happy with disco/rock/pop or expanding on the Houdini/Training Season/Dracula sound if she really commits to it and stands by it

Better not be Olivia Dean music or country acoustic

The BRITs performance was amazing, she really needs Mark for her next album
