As someone who was following Sabrina since Eyes Wide Open, it was so vindicating to see her blow up in real time after "Espresso." I do wish she gave "Bed Chem" and "Juno" proper rollouts before moving onto Man's Best Friend, although I've grown to love that album in its own right as well.

I was obsessed with XO a few years back. I'll check this out.

I've always been curious as to what her album sounded like. Based on Wake Up Call, it probably sounds a little like Paris (2006)

I've been streaming Loose and The Duchess in protest. Unfortunately Love. Angel. Music. Baby. is one of the best pop albums of the 21st century

Madonna is forever cemented in the pantheon of musicians. At 68, being able to chart for 5 weeks is already a miracle, let alone being number 1 at debut. Let's see if the rest of your favorites can manage to get a fraction of that success when they're 50.

She has a sizable hit every album cycle, so no. Gaga is a permanent A-lister.

I hope she gets the help she needs. Night Time, My Time is a classic. But you really can't trust a word she says. She will always blame someone else. Everything is embarrassing indeed.

She removed it from all streaming services and storefronts right before releasing this new Game of Love version

I hope Gregg is the one producing her next album. His production on this version is way better than anything on Hopeless Romantic and The Trouble With Fever. Let's not get started on that atrocious 20th anniversary version of The Spirit Room (which she herself has disowned ).

I hope her next records have a little bit of everything for everyone. The discourse about her not having an identity is honestly annoying at this point. She herself has said she enjoys the variations in sound of her discography... Maybe the only way to please everyone is to have some straight-up pop, a little house/dance pop, and R&B tracks. She was kinda doing this from 2013-2018.

I'm surprised many of you dislike Medellin. I found it to be really catchy and fun, and I don't mind the back-and-forth between Madonna and Maluma.

Ariana Grande's entire career has unfolded since Sky released Night Time, My Time. Olivia Rodrigo was in elementary school when Sky announced Masochism. Taylor was in the original Red era when we last had a solo music video. COVID wasn't a pandemic yet when Downhill Lullaby came out as a single. Katy Perry's 143 was still just an imminent threat when Sky got dropped from Capitol Records. So forgive us if we don't believe you, Sky.

Unless she tours again, she won't get another resurgence. Honestly her career is fine, she's basically a permanent A-lister, but if she wants hits she needs to tour. I agree with the others saying the label wasn't the issue, since Columbia gave her a lot of support during Endless Summer Vacation.
